im gonna throw out some opinion here. alot of people love v8s. majority of them state their reasons of you can make a safe street 8 sec car etc. thats good and im glad you injoy it. but what yall fail to see is that most dont daily drive an 8 sec car. most often than not you cant road track that car, you cant drive in the mountains etc.
now take a 4 cyl. you can make the same power, but yes, with more work. nitrious, alot of boost, etc. but you can still make an 8 second car. but that same car can also road race, can be driven daily, can be taken to the mountains. what most dont see is there is more difference between an import and a domestic than just cubic inches etc. the suspension, the weight, and the overall point of the car is different.

in summary.
v8- drag car
4- anything you want.

ps- i know theres exceptions to this so please dont try and be an ass and point out stupid shit like the corvette lamans car etc, because yea, dont.

There is no replacement for displacement, that is very true.


But anything can be made fast and the one true thing that matters is how much time and money you want to put into it.

show me any 8 second 1/4 mile 4 cylinder car that can really be driven daily and can be roadraced. Nobody roadraces mega hp cars unless they are race cars. In the end there is no replacement for displacement. Boost for boost the v8 will always be faster and make more power.
