Stock block what? Like it takes any ability to get a lot of power out of 6568209584335 cubic inches. You come off like a kid that likes to recite passages from MM&FF as if it's the bible. Is this your first V8 or something? You act like you're breaking some kind of new ground, the Mustang's been around forfuckingever.Quote:

ls1 motors are not a GREAT boost platform. with 4 bolts per cylinder, the heads warp BETWEEN the studs with a lot of cylinder pressure. The heads themselves flow really well so that is its saving grace. You can still make big power (1000hp+ ) but you really need to make the whole setup as efficient as possible. Mine is one of those that is far from it. Intercoolers too small...turbos too small for the cubes....downpipes too small....but it is almost enuff power for my satisfaction.
boost>S54 :P
When's the turbo kit coming, Boris?
331ci (8.2" deck block) actually. I don't read that junk ass magazine, or any others for that matter. And whatever "it" is, is not my first V8. I never stated that I was "breaking new ground", or any shit like that. I was simply saying that those kind of numbers aren't really impressive with a boosted car. And who said anything about making power with a mustang?Quote:

:lmfao: Well I'm talking about normal bolt-ons. I've beaten a MkIV with tbe/i/boost controller from a dig. Put 2 cars on him from the go with just a 4k launch. LoLQuote:

THe subaru we just built, was tuned by that shop, made 505whp, and it crushed a few ringlands.
not saying anything wrong with topspeeed, im saying the motors are weak. the sleeves, pistons cant really stand more than 500whp
Crushed ring lands is from detonation. Probably too much timing. Thats a problem I see a lot of, is people producing outrageous hp numbers, but they are never dependable. Most shops tend to put stuff on "kill", rather than being conservative.Quote:

Like a stock honda motor, it cant make 600whp on a stock block an not crush ringlaNDS. its just too much pressure
We must be talking about stock type pistons with no ring land material.Quote:

Dunno about the motor, but I think I'd take the scooby transmission over mine tho, haha.
iwas talking about nevrnuftrqs car, it made 5xxx+ tuned by doug and it blew up .Quote:

My bad, different fast subaru, hahaa. Evos have the same problem with 500+ whp though, very easy to pop a motor. But much cheaper to build/fix/replace our motors, bwahhahahaa.Quote:

the car val is talking about made 590awhp at the time it ran low 11's letting off before the end of the 1/4, i beleive that car did make a bit over 600 right val?.. they tried to blow the car up but they couldnt, i beleive they just went ahead and slapped a built motor in the car shortly after their attempts.. the guy like.. purposely tried to break it.Quote:

Oh yeah and the flywheel, clutch and install is up to par.
