Testing your limits, pushing your car to its max, and being safe. A Chase is a race is a bullshit line, cause in a real drag race, if you jump before the Tree or flager, you automatically(???) lose. Skreet racing, is running from a dig from a start point, to an end point. NOT from a roll, etc. That is defined as having fun/playing around.
As stated before, anyone with money can build a fast car. Making it work is the trick. All fast cars can roll race and semi hook at the track. Therefore it is not a challenge.
If you have all wheel drive, you already have an advantage. Do something with it! Why will true hot rods still bust your ass?

I think there is some truth to what cobra is saying.
I think "street" (or "skreet") racing refers to drag racing, not done on a track.
Going from a "dig" takes a lot more in terms of driver reaction times and driving skill, and it requires that the car work better overall. The suspension and drivetrain have to be properly chosen/modified for racing, and the proper tires must be used.
If people dont like to drag race, and they choose not to modify their cars "properly" to drag-race, there is nothing wrong with it. If you want to go do power-to-weight comparisions from a 40, 60, 70 MPH rolls, thats fine. But, in my opinion, and the point cobra is making is that its not "street racing."
I admit its difficult to find someplace to run "from a dig," and most people end up doing rolls these days, but in reality, most people use that as an excuse more than anything.
Overall, this arguement is over semantics, and its a matter of how you look at it.

But, I do agree with some of his reasons for wanting to run on the street, because his car is setup for it. Its just two different "games," so to speak. Neither one is better than the other. Ive seen first-hand some of the bickering between you guys. I met people that have been street racing in atlanta since they were 17 18 years old now they are in their mid 30's. So back in the day they use to do a lot of different racing. If you guys where familiar w/ " the hole" by monroe they used to meet up there and hit 85's access roads and race from a set point to another point w/out using the breaks, If one of the drivers hit the breaks will lose, So here we have street racing at a higher level b/c you had to judge speed, slow down by down shifting and using some skills to win the race.
They also use to do night street racing w/no litghs on from a set point to another point, they also used to do traffic racing thru downtown atl.
An the callouts where handle in the turns going to the drango's tail or helen..
The drivers w/out skills or guts will only race there in the hole in a straight line and the real street racers would race doing laps around the triangle.
The I guess we became retarded and start racing in a straight line.

The main reason I started this thread is because I have seen Slowhawk call out numerous people on the street. But for some odd reason he will not race me there.
It is the pick and chose style of racing. Look at how many people we called out from a dig the other night that wouldn't run.

If i remeber correctly its either 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile from a dig dont think ive seen a track that offers a 40mph roll anywhere but i maybe wrong
The reason matt wants to go to the track is because its a prep surface to race on. And is scared of cobraclone on the street. Matt has ran from a dig on the street and is calling people out to run from a dig on the street. The FACT is he SCARED of loosing to a stock 302 thats ugly as hell hasnt had a bath in about 3 years a white door a primed fender discolored headlights. Compared to his nice little shinny tires nice shinny paint getting walked on. But it all comes back to going to the track where its a prep surface and knowing cobra wont run at the track.
