    Default DropTopDrifter vs. SpeedyDGP

So lastnight we were out for a little fun. After watching people run for a bit, i decided to drive down to the end of the strip. Well on the way down there i got behind Gabriel and got the bug to want to run.

I didnt realize how long its been since i have run my car and what it weas like to launch again.

1st run - We jump at the same time, i bog...bad. 3500rpm launch is too low.

2nd run - Jump off the line well and even but when i shifted into 2nd the s/c bypass was stuck open and didnt allow the s/c to boost. So i shut it down.
3rd run - Get the launch, maybe a little too much wheel spin. I keep his bumper at my rear qtr. the whole run...and shifting slow to prevent bypass failure Good run mang

Mind you the 2 cars were running at about the same power level.,.. my car is down on power at the moment....pulling 1.5* of timing for psi of boost and running no intercooler due to a coupler failure.

good run man, we need to run again in a couple of weeks. It seems that everytime I do a power upgrade to my car I do another upgrade that counters it: J30 LSD is great out of the hole and in the mountains but sucks on highway runs because of the 4% longer gear ratio. The skyline brakes are worth every penny on the highway and in the mountains , but beacause of the 11.6" vented disk in the back witch is quite a bit heavier then the 10" not vented stock disk, some power to the wheels is gone. I do need to get an aluminum driveshaft to help with that.

I'm not complaining though, just putting out the facts just like you were about your car, because ofcourse these things may be bad for racing they do come in handy on everyday bases since it is my daily driver.

--On a side note: if anybody knows of an SAFC for sale, please let me know.

    Thanks

Man doesn't THIS sound familiar? If Mike (DropTopDrifter) remembers, the car looks great by the way, much different from when I last saw it.

I don't remember the color.. it was the hatch. It pulled up behind us before you came up to run.

Fun night though, we need to get back to the mountains some time soon

lol Honestly I had no idea who I could compete with because I just had the kit installed and already lost to Charles. (ct9a gsr) I saw you kickin everyones ass that night so I just wanted to see where I stood.

I did end up running a boosted Miata on my way back from Charlotte and barely pulled on the guy.. not sure if it was supercharged or turbo.. either way it was pretty fast.

Yeah, i know my place in the food chain out there :d ... and you were waaaay to big for me that night... hell, the car is only about 170-180rwhp vs your near 400

Anywho.. its a damn beautiful car sir

Miata was probably turno.. because very few s/c's make over 200rwhp and thats what it take to get them really fast.

Hey, I offered you that Lysholm screw compressor (off the Millenia S), but nooooo, you're worried about fitment issues!
    It's a 73ci screw-type vs a 45ci roots-type. (Basically pushes twice the volume).
Let me know if you wanna do it. It's 18"x6"x6".
    It WILL fit.
