And no, those other parts dont intrinsically add any power. The pont is that he's sandbagging his build by calling a built motor car a "cam-only" motor. Its an indicator of his lying, thats it.
And I have no reason to believe either on of you guys about the heads, but I guess ill take your word for it. i just dont see why he'd do a forged motor, cam, full-bolt ons, gears, drivetrain and suspension mods, and not even touch the heads...not even port-matching or anything.

well let me enlighten you...NITROUS doesnt need low compression as it COOLS THE INTAKE CHARGE...so sky high compression and nitrous is perfectly FINE.....as far as porting the heads...LS1 heads stock flow really well and i guess he didnt want to spend a lot of money on gaining 10-20hp that you get from porting the stock heads...hope it makes more sense to you now.
