No, that was 18-19psi on pump. Race gas is expensive and I knew I was ganna be buying about 10gal for import showdown. There was a little c16 left in the tank from when it was tuned but pu alot of pump in there and the mixture was not good enough to bump up the boost.Originally Posted by Big Baller

If your running 264 step 1 cams (I think thats what your running)
You should get some nasty cams too.
the 3076 will get you more power on pump gas than you are currently making on race gas. and it will spool quicker.

From what I am hearing about your setup you are making good power but very laggy. I will take a wild guess at this but I am going to say that your probably making about 390-400rwhp on the C16 at mid 20lb boost?
So if you were on pump gas running 18-19psi then I would guess around 350-360rwhp?
Seems Charles has a fast EVO but not as mind blowing fast as everyone on here makes it out to be! Here is why I say this:
I think Jeremy with his setup and I could better guess this if I knew what kindof intake manifold he had but if he is running an aftermarket manifold (probably is b/c all top mount turbo SR20 guys do :P) he is lacking some strong tq and thats why he falls off so much at a certain speed. The SR is making high hp but little to no tq in comparison. If I am right on this then I would say with that cam and turbo choice you aren't making more than 200rwhp/200rwtq at 5000RPM with a 7500 rev limiter? Correct me if I am wrong.
Now on my old setup with a little turbo(T25 exh flange) and stock manifold I was making better hp/tq then his setup is- again taking a wild guess.
Here my old car made 300hp/310tq to the tire at only 19psi and no alky injection. Which then netted 396rwhp/330rwtq. Now this setup I think would have hung with that EVO- not pulled him but hung with him as the car weighed 2680 with me in it.
So jeremy what I am trying to say is you dont necessarily need more HP but faster spool(which you already know) and more TQ to keep you in the power when you shift. If you continue with this high HP mentatility then you will most likely be beaten once again!
Charles- nice EVO as I told you at the Varsity, but sorry to say my 240 and my Z on bottle were where your car is today. And if I hadnt sold the Z before this post I would be happy to line up with you from a roll like this to end your winning streak.

I'm not sure I really want to get into this but Ill just say that, I dont really think its the fact that he has a turbo that is too big its really that he has a turbo that isnt as effecient. I'm going to guess you had a 3071 by the numbers you are posting up.
Let me just say that with a nice manifold a 3076(gt30R) will spool exactly the same as a 3071. but it will make a ton more power. 420-440hp on pump gas is not a problem with a diffrent setup.
ALL THAT BEING SAID His setup is making good power for what it is, and I dont think he has an aftermarket manifold.
I will respond to his post later but he was running the gt25/40
GT25R/stock intake manifold, 50lb inj, JWT flash, and stock exh manifold.......---- oh yeah and thats on 93 octane......bet his setup barely knocked on 400 with the C16.

You better watch out big baller, your 240 is faster than mine, but there is no way you are a match for the SUPER 240 of 2002. And for the record, if you did still have your car charles would puts cars on you as well if he wanted to.
Why would you wanna bet 100 that, you make what power at whatever boost level and I dont, you are the only one that cares. And my car makes more than 360 on pump and well over 400 on c16.

My first tune made 278whp at 10psi and 375 at 18psi and 409whp at 23psi. I have been retuned since than because the first one was cut short because of my FPR. It is fixed and i am making more power now.

I know I dont have the best set up but and a few parts will be altered as I see fit. This is my 3rd setup, I like to try diferent things with my car and my goal for the car is not to compete with you because "frankly my dear, I dont give a fuck" about what you made to the wheels. Let me take this a step further by saying your car really wasnt all that, lets be real you had a fully built bottom end, spent thousands and you never broke 400whp and never ran 11's. If i had a built bottom I wouldnt be running 12's and be in the 300's. I know you built your bottom end because it went boom, but why did he build his did he just think it was neccesary for 400hp.

The reason why this thread took a turn is not because I dont like marshall, he seems ok when i met him, but because his intent was not to ask questions because if you read is post he would be willing to bet money that he already knows the answers. He wants to bash my set up because I didnt get the turbo he got. I stated in this thread that I now my turbo isnt the best and is laggy and a better manifold is needed. I have stated the cons of my setup before you even posted. Then you come on here and bash me to make yourself look good. What was the point of your initial post besides stating in a round about way that your car is better than mine. It was not to ask questions because you already knew the answers to them.
