A 288 isnt all the slow, esp for mid 1980's. I remember seeing one of the magazines' car ran 113 mph in the 1/4. Its not setup to be a drag car, though, and I bet it would be strong from a roll. Look at the specs 2.3 posted.. But, the US versions had 400 HP as far as I can remember, not 450, and the US car is still under 3000 pounds probably. And they are easy to modify (i.e. turn up the boost,) not that most owners would. Its one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen, and definately near the top of my list of favorite cars of ever.
