Good run guys! I can see where the Z06 had some bad shifts, but in my opinion it did look like charles was slowly pulling him before the Z06 hit the brakes on one of the runs.
...and as far as racing to 150mph, these Lancers cars can do it easily. Just check out some of the video's I have made. I think I hit 155-160mph on a few of them and could have kept going. How far? I have no idea!
Good kill charles seems like your car is running strong, but in the Z06's defense it just needs a BETTER driver to give you a fair run. I think you should run him again just in case there was a fluke last night

Sure it will. I got out run by a bolt on trans am with my R6 because I can't race it I can just ride it. I have never went from 2nd to the 5th in my car. I think thats impossible. Either way charles car ran good. But the Z06 did not do the cars performance level justice by any means.

Amazing, I raced Charles before and theres a couple of things I noticed. The one "good run" you guys claim you had he was damn near granny shifting.. if he shifted like he usually does that race would have been much worse.
Second thing I noticed is his redline seems MUCH higher than before.. it sounds almost as if the car is geared differently or something. Either way a loss is a loss.. I never saw the Z06 pull once in the video so I dont see why its even being questioned.

Good kill Charles. If the guy wants to prove himself in the Z06 run him at the track.
definitely not 7k.. I ran an older Z06 and I was shifting twice while he stayed in one gear, it was the other way around in this case.
First, in reply to Crafty....the comment you posted wasn't directed at you.
Secondly, the C6 Z06 is geared differently AND has a higher redline than the C5. They both have the same final gear ratio of 3:42, but the individual lower gears are different. A stock Z06 will hit 62 in 1st, 93 in 2nd, and 125 in 3rd.
2nd to fifth is a hell of a missed shift. thats just straight up crappy driving.

want to settle it? DO IT AT THE STRIP. then the only complaint anyone can have is that they cant drive or dont know the diff betweeen yellow n green lights.
newer z06's have slightliy diff gearing, i think same final drive ratio just diffeerent in betweens

both quick cars, it looks like a close race to me when they were actually goin. Better race again for all the bullshit talkin from a dig and from a kick. But shifting slow (charles) or miss shifting (Z06) is all apart of the game. Good Kill Charles. Just cant wait to see that Z06 with full exhaust and cam.
I suppose the issue, is normally when I race...I want everything right...so you can see which CAR is better, not which DRIVER is better. And if you look at the title of the thread and the comments.......it's "Charles beat a Z06"
Well, if I screwed up so badly (and in 4 races, I only screwed up one of them) then a more accurate statement would be "Charles beat Lankhoss."
Charles didn't screw up at all that night, and I screwed up once. The rest of the bad runs I blame on the conditions (traffic, unable to hear honks, etc.). No matter who or what is racing, I just hate to have runs where you've got things like that interfering, that's all. We did a few tonight on an empty highway, and ALL of them went well....I just wish that night had turned out as well for the runs.
Maybe he was trying to save gas?
Should've went ahead & threw into 6th, the 6.0 gets pretty good gas mileage on the hwy.

In my useless opinion unless this EVO was making 500whp this should have not been the story and only leads me MORE to believe this is not the best driver for a Z06 of this stature.

im sure in an ideal world, we woudn't see color or race or age or discrimination, or hate, or war..... a race is a race. if someone initiates and the other complies, its a race and whether or not someone makes a mistake or doesn't, its still a race.
i agree that it would be nice to have all the variables gone so you could see which car is indeed faster, but that will hardly ever be the case since this isn't a perfect world and the conditions in which are presented to us in each "run" will have its own flaws... but the better driver will prevail and sometimes, the better car will lose. in this case.. i believe the better driver and the better car won. what makes u so confident that charles couldn't run any faster than he did?
