actually FD is faster, it has 255hp/217lb-ft vs. 238hp/156lb-ft of rx-8, according to Edmunds. And Rx-8 is infamous for claiming the high numbers due to some cat issue when dynoing, supposely it puts you into a limp mode of som sort, regarless, the significant difference of torque is obvious, so car for car, FD should be faster with the same driver. This is all stock out of factory of course.
