    actually.. bybyevo's mustang has 340 hp and 400 ft/lbs.. where'd you get 500 from.. so anyway.. and those evo wings are ridicously too big.. antlers... lol

    If that is the case, then its not enough....

    The 500 number was from this post he made. I guess he was referring to torque not horsepower.

    well i'll be up on barrett friday.. not to race.. just to chill, and they'll be up there sat. he's dringin the stang, we took the bottle out to even the field.. and i'll be up there when i get off work at 10.. so hopefully i'll see ya'll up there.. and yeah 500 was his torque..

    I have yet to see a 347cu.in or smaller N/A 5.0L street car that impresses me....I'm not talking shit, I've raced plenty. 340hp and 389lb.ft. (i hope this is rwhp and rwtq figures), cuz if you got that lame-ass 340hp 302 crate motor, you are in for a world of hurt. Either way, 340hp to the wheels is not nearly enough power for you to beat charles, speedmonkey's STI, or my s13 with.....unless you got hella weight reduction done. While I was in SC. I raced a '96 cobra with n/a mods....he claimed 300+ at the wheels (others confirmed the figures), he had 4.10's, longtubes, blah,blah,blah.....we done a highway kick from 60mph (his choice).....I murdered the guy, even missing the 2nd to 3rd shift the first time.....40rwhp more wouldn't have made the race any less one-sided

    ....and before any of you domestic guys start talking ish.....I've raced plenty of mustangs with every conceivable mod you can think of, have close family that builds mustangs.......and lastly, I own one.

    no offense dude but you don't really know shit about mustangs. A 96 cobra with n/a mods is not going to put down 300+ rwhp with just bolt ons like headers and exhaust. It may be lucky to run 105-106 mph trap and thats a good driver. They usually do 285-290 or so with all the usual bolt ons but you get over 300 you usually need to upgrade the intake/cams. Its not that great though since the car is a lot heavier then the earlier fox body cars.

    a well built 347 in a fox body will easily make 350-400 rwhp and run 115-120 mph traps...like i said before "well built" not a ford motorsport crate motor (and that motor is 340 flywhee hp). My car ran 11.97@115 and only made 340 rwhp. A 347 with good compression can easily make 400 rwhp. Too bad my car is not N/A anymore because i would have showed you.

    lol my motor was 9.2:1 compression and ran on 93 octane and i drove it to silver dollar 2 hours away and ran those times. In fact,the motor is still runnning quite well but its boosted now.

    I hope you are running something better then the ebay turbo if you want to run a well built 347 fox body.

    the stang sounds like my car on motor...i'm willing to bet its a 351 windsor or 347 if it makes 389 ft/lbs n/a (i'm assuming rear wheel??). Mine did 339 rwhp and 376 rwtq. Better have the bottle full i think to run the lancer!

    highly doubt it. GGPIS got the lancer.. and he's car isnt making crazy power either.

    So after spending 'bout 12 hours off/on diagnosing the car... I managed to...

    1. finally find a disconnected TPS sensor
    2. pop off every lower i/c pipe on the car repeatedly
    3. break 2 clamps
    4. magically have the most random boost leak from my bov flange after reinforcing all the i/c pipes
    5. replaced the bov gasket
    6. used rtv silicon sealant on the gasket
    7. replaced the bov itself and gasket again
    8. STILL have a big 'ol boost leak from the flange...

    So... my only option left is to buy a new flange and/or bov and weld... which I don't really have time to do since I work today. You can call me a bia or whatever, but I'm not running the car with no boost... perhaps next week? I'm still down for a run, 110% down... just not with problems still.

    I got a HKS SSQV replacement right before I came here to work... but don't have a steel flange for it nor the time to find a welder before tonight... and I'm stuck here at work 'til 10pm-ish ~ 11pm-ish... only time I have to get it welded on will be later this week.

    Problem w/ JB weld is I dunno if its the welds on the flange to the upper pipe or if the surface of the flange that connects to the bov that is fk'd up... none the less, I'll still try to come out later tonight but won't be able to run. =[

    My good friend has a 347 street car that will race anyone. Find the fastest import on this site that can drive on the street and pm me. He will race for any amount of money you want. I hope you find someone to race him because I want to see this. BTW a 347 turbo mustang busted Clarks supra the other day by a lot and that was the slow one.

    It was back and forth the entire time. We let off and he had a car on me. You obviously didn't hear that from Eric, the owner of the 88mm turbo mustang or any of the bikes that saw it. Get a better source for your info before you post shit about my car.

    I will run him but my car is down for some minor adjustments right now. I promise it will have a lot more power than that mustang. I would love to race on the track but supras dont like that. They like highway pulls. Im not claiming the fastest car around but I know what is fast and what is a waste of time. Clarks supra is bad ass and I know its fast as hell I just dont think it will run 9's in the quarter.

    JOHN, Let me race this Supra first, I know your car will be down for awhile... I'll race him from a dig or a 20 kick.. if you can set it up... I saw this Supra run and it's fastest time was a 10.70 (i think) with race fuel... what a joke...

    I will run him but my car is down for some minor adjustments right now. I promise it will have a lot more power than that mustang. I would love to race on the track but supras dont like that. They like highway pulls. Im not claiming the fastest car around but I know what is fast and what is a waste of time. Clarks supra is bad ass and I know its fast as hell I just dont think it will run 9's in the quarter.
    Clarks car ran a 10.73 at silver dollar is the fastest it ran the day I was there and it made several low 11'sec passes but a 10.73 is far from the 9's. I here that he has out ran this that and the other but I have never seen it run except for the track.As far as bikes go there are a ton of people that beat bikes because of rider. I got spanked on my R6 by a 420RWHP 3600LB Trans am because I could not keep the damn front end on the ground. The power to beat him was there everytime I would hit the gas I would pull back hard but he got me by a fender around 150MPH. I would like to run clarks supra but I would like to run it from a dead stop no highway bullshit. Clark what do ya say is that cool????

    haha man i was about to say. Eric doesn't have a 347 turbo mustang either..its a 4.6 32V mod motor. The only other turbo car i know that could run with clarks on the highway is joe lineberrys (his did 980 rwhp/1022 rwtq) but he rarely street races it.

    also on a side note i saw a supercharged gen 1 viper at a show at stone mountain park...man it was a nice motor and stuff...had a dyno sheet for 800 rwhp with nitrous but man it had a ridiculous body kit and wing on it.

    Why the fuck would you post Joes numbers on here. Jeff told me to set up some races for them but looks like you blew that idea.

    i didn't realize joe was a big street racer...sorry. I'm sure if it really was the case Jeff wouldn't post the numbers on SCForums.
