Well you set no context so in essence you left it up to the reader to decide what your intentions for the comment were. Hell, I'm sure since you are the president of the Elton John fan club you would rather him survive than me. It only makes sense, if he were to die then your chances of living in homosexual bliss w/ Mr. John would be crushed.
