Who considers a Stage 3 Roush a monster? Usually idiots that don't know any better, or wife beater wearing high school kids touting snapbacks actually think Stage 3 actually means something. Considering the first couple "stages" for Roush anything are simply cosmetic mods or minor bolt ons, it doesnt mean shit.
Also, nobody gives a shit what you consider "overpriced". It's more of a collector vehicle than a base platform for someone to "build" a fast Mustang out of. Nobody gives a damn what you would do with $30k+ either , it's not your money. Ford went away from just performance and added their idea of luxury (which isn't all that nice unless a cramped interior was what they were going for) which caused them to loose more on the performance side. When I hear "mustang" I hear the best performance car you can buy for the money. Obviously it isn't. Never said you "said" they were the best, but these guys surely made it out to be the best production performance car out there for under 40k. Going off my previous argument.. A evo with my setup would be a lot faster then my car. Again you could put 5k into this stage 3 roush and it would still get its ass handed to it. There are plenty of cars out there that out perform the mustang at a lower cost.

Compared to a 2013 Mustang GT?.....not really. 12 sec 1/4 mile. 110mph+ traps.
With any color you want for around high 20's to low 30's on autotrader right now. Not too many cars can claim anything close to that for under 30K.

Roush and Saleen models never were about huge performance for the money. A 2013 GT500 / 2013 GT500 Super Snake does have the most power per dollar for the money. Many top automotive reviewers have also claimed this. So this Roush doesnt have 600HP for 40k, you're an idiot for covering an entire platform based on some Roush Stage (X).

It took them until 2012 to produce a car worth buying... Nissan and others have been doing that and they didn't need a v8.

Edit: Just out of curiosity I checked a 2003 Evo vs a 2003 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra. The Cobra has a better power to weight ratio still.

All I know is that my mustang gt is the best overall performance vehicle I have I paid 20k for my 05 GT slapped Bolton ons and 125 shot of nitrous and making 450rwhp is good enough for me . I stand by my car no need for me to get a new 5.0 or boss 302

I went and pulled actual numbers from those that posted their dyno charts.
Evo 8 weight was 3262. Evo 8 avg hp was 230 at the tires. Some were as low as 190 and as high as 240.
03 Cobra weighes 3665. Avg rwhp was 370. Some as low as 360 and as high as 390.
Evo 8 - 230/3262=0.07
Cobra - 3665/370=0.10
Even if we bump up the hp to the highest on the Evo and cut its weight to 3000 lbs, and take an extra 10 hp off the lowest hp on the Cobra - the Cobra has better power to weight.
Evo 8 - 240/3000=0.08
Cobra - 350/3665=0.095
Its not even close.
And you still run 14s.....

Stated on wiki there were evos in 2003 that made 316hp and your saying 240.i highly doubt 240 was there actual number they put down because that's hardly a performance machine hell some of the new v6 accords almost make that.
If what you say is correct..
A 240whp car ran a 12.1 and a 350whp car ran a 11.9
So a 4cyl sedan almost ran the same track time as a 03 cobra v8 power house. Again this shows off mustangs poor performance.
