Only *very* evil people street race... however, I suppose some of us are just evil enough to partake in it.

To the arguement about running in empty business parking lots being not as bad as racing on the highways... I don't see how this is valid. Parking lots are made for PARKING and WALKING. There's a much higher chance of your random late-night working pedistrian walking to his car be hit and killed than your random late-night driver that's in the adjacent lane on the highway. Also, it's very rare to find a parking lot long enough to top out 4th gear without having to make sharp turns or dodge obstacles like lights and speed bumps.

Besides, part of my taxes pay for the highways... none of my money pays for the private business parking lots. This makes us *very* evil street racers feel a little better about ourselves. =]

Last time I went to a business park, there were parked cars, light poles, speed bumps, other random obstacles, sometimes people walking, etc.

Call me crazy, but for some reason, I'd rather use a 4+ lane road with very long straight sections where there's not supposed to be anything going under the speed of 40mph for my evil tasks than a business parking lot.

I just don't understand that if you know the risks of doing this, why do it? Some people make a halfway decent arguement about finding an out of the way, "strip" somewhere in a business park or something. .

I'd say my arguments are usually in the "halfway decent" categories when I debate with others over the topic of the "street racing".


edit: on a side note, "racing" in a "parking lot" is fucking stupid. Everyone knows parking lots are for the assholes who like to burn their rear tires doing that weird "drefting" thing.

U the red srt driver? raced my buddy jason a few times in the red evo. I am the black guy with the fro thats always out(without my car lol).

ANyway, this guy is not some "kid". he knows his stuff and drives well. race in a secluded business park? i was there when he already did that. so why not try a higway roll when the highway is empty? no families are really out at 1 and 2am and the roads are pretty bare. on the 675 end of things there is nothing at those hours but Jake. on the 285 side there is maybe a couple cars at a time and drivers usually run from 40mph. Making a car already moving 65+mph that much farther ahead decreasing the risk of running into someone.all spectators are usually behind. racing on the street period has a risk involved.
