Only *very* evil people street race... however, I suppose some of us are just evil enough to partake in it.
To the arguement about running in empty business parking lots being not as bad as racing on the highways... I don't see how this is valid. Parking lots are made for PARKING and WALKING. There's a much higher chance of your random late-night working pedistrian walking to his car be hit and killed than your random late-night driver that's in the adjacent lane on the highway. Also, it's very rare to find a parking lot long enough to top out 4th gear without having to make sharp turns or dodge obstacles like lights and speed bumps.
Besides, part of my taxes pay for the highways... none of my money pays for the private business parking lots. This makes us *very* evil street racers feel a little better about ourselves. =]
