good deal. i got a motor on the engine stand that would hit 11s easy with the h2b setup its going to run. i just dont have time to get it together plus its been years since the guy that i built the motor for has been to the track so i would like him to get some practise before going to a event and miss shifting a brand new motor.

Yeah I think he ended up going with a entirely new setup after that one. I dont know what all has changed though. I guess we will find out.

I would run with you guys, but you guys are too fast for me. Then again I've never run on slicks before. lol

Well you trap higher on street tires or drag radials then you do on slicks so a 103 trap on street tires is a low 13 second pass with a 2,200 pound car well close to that. If you got a good launch you might break into the 12s with that trap. 13s is a respectable time for a all motor car man be proud of it. I just have the advantage of having endless motors and parts to play with since i own a shop . If i had to pay for all this i wouldnt be building three different motors trust me lol.

I bet lol. That pass I couldn't get off the line for nothing. I think I had a 2.1 60'. I was on some bald autox tires. lol

EDIT: ninja post. Thanks man. Every once in a while I catch some one with their pants down. Not too long ago I had a little run with a DA with a semi-built GSR. He didn't like the result.. lol.

ding ding - We have a winner.

Dyno numbers are a tuning tool. They have nothing to do with how fast you get down the track, or which car is faster. This thread has a lot of irrelevant dyno numbers in it.

If you want numbers to compare, use track times.

then it wasn't until he got more involved with the guys here on IA that all this drama and secretive stuff started. haha

So I've posted recently in other forums and sure word travels so some people already know but the hatch has a set of toda a3 cams in it. maybe not the best cam for a K20 but they seem to be on par on top end power at least. again I think dyno #s are just dyno #s so I don't want to get into that.

I plan on being there for import showdown, and since everyone in ATL who gives a damn will be there or know someone who will be there, there's no point in me being secretive about what the car runs. My best ET so far at commerce was a 12.24, best trap 111.8. those were all with 1.75-1.77 60' times though. I went back to commerce after sorting some things out, cut a 1.67 60' but missed a gear, then busted an axle the next run

I hear silver dollar is usually a tenth or two quicker than commerce so if I can cut a 1.6x down there I'll be shooting for an 11.9x. not sure if it'll do it though.

anyway hope to meet you down there and maybe we can get in a fun run or two. my car is gutted so the rules don't suite me well, I'll be doing TnT

    Those are some good numbers

This is my last post in either thread cause I feel like Im beating a dead horse and honestly I hate arguing with idiots.

My last points ill make if you don't get it oh well

    1) don't make excuses if you lose. It makes you sound like a ricer and a cry baby. Speculation about why you lost and making unfounded allegations (like someone used nitrous) is equally just as demeaning to your argument. You sound like a joke and a moron. Lose with dignity, make adjustments, try again.

    2) Hp doesn't mean shit (this goes to Greg). I told you that don't be surprised of you lost to a lesser Hp and liter car. You didn't listen to me. You're finding out gearing is just as important as Hp/liter. I warned you against talking all bad and cocky when you have ZERO racing experience. Your turbo d lasted less than three months and you hVe never had a fast NA car so you don't know what it's like. Which is why I told you over a year ago be careful what you say and how much you talk yourself up. You didn't listen and anyone who searches your screename will see the comments you made. I think your car makes awesome power, but You leave something to be desired. You lost, get over it, accept it, LEARN from it. Don't insinuate someone cheated or robbed you of a fair race.

    3) my comment to the midnight auto guys is simple and I meant no disrespect. Your car looks fast , I'm sure it's very fast. But my point was good luck finding someone in Atlanta to run you for money full slicks vs full slicks on a street race. I've been here much longer than anyone in this thread besides black r. We were NA street racing 10 years ago. I can count on 1 hand how many times someone had slicks at a street race. You break shit and it's an instant $1000-1500 ticket so no one usually risks it. So knowing that I meant (and you seem smart enuugh you should agree) that a 11-12 second car on 24.5 in slicks, runs 13s on street tires. Or better yet change your 60 foot times to 2.2s and what happens to your ET.....

4)@Bobby I'm not the all motor king, I don't think I'm better than everyone else. I'm not a grease monkey either. However, I do know what I'm talking about, I do know a ton about engines, parts combos, what they make, etc. I had access to a dyno for 5 years and I've had the ability to test parts, setups, engine combos almost unlimited . That's the perks of running performance shops. I've also been contracted to test parts for various companies that I gave detailed and informed comparisons and write ups. I've taken classes to learn more about EFI and tuning, not because I want to be a tuner, but vbecause I wanted to LEARN more. I can NOT tune a car, but I can tell you how. I can NOT tune a car, but I can tell you where it should make peak tq, peak Hp, vtec crossover, bsfc, ve, etc.

Likewise I've built prob 10 engines in my life. 1 was mine , 9 were for other people. I'm not a great mechanic, but I can tell you how to build a motor. Imnot a great engine builder, but I can tell you what parts make what Hp usually within 1-5whp of a persons goal. Having said that, any motor I've "paid for" wasn't a blank check I wrote. I was always extremely involved in my parts selection, or it was all my ideas. I may have not ported my head, but I wanted a certain job done. I may have not assembled my 2.0l bottom end, but I selected all the parts that were used in it.

So this notion that I'm clueless and have no idea what I'm talking about is and has always been BULLSHIT. You ask me to prove something, I can. I don't hide behind a computer screen or use some Cop out like "I don't have to prove anything". Well if you don't want to prove anything don't make bullshit claims. Don't claim 224whp then say "I don't have to prove it". I my book that means you're LIEING and trying to act like you achieved something you know you can't.

There's one thing I've learned over the years, almost everyone lies, almost everyone deceives, almost everyone wants to fit in. It's easy to tell who actually knows what they are doing and understands all motor, and fanboys who try to fit in. Which one are you?

well the people i REALLY admired to and mentored me, and i looked up to was you, johnzm, len, and chunky.

    Johnzm introduced me to Rocket
    Rocket introduced me to Don
IL fudd meets introduced me to you, len and chunky (and dans yellow CRX LOL).

I had a lot of good people to talk to and look up to back then, its just a different feeling now. I mean i remember when Len showed up with the ITBs at the Fudd Meet , when Chunky put his 6 speed in his EP3, when John rolled up with BI6A with his map sensor unplugged so it would sound "cammed". No one had this holier than thou attitude, we all talked, we all got along and we all learned from each other. If we raced and lost, so be it, we didnt make excuses. We shook hands and moved on.

We never said "oh well i lost because i have a leaky valve stem seal", or, "if i had a 4.9 FD i would have won"

Yeah that 323 is actually right on par with where my car is at. My best street pass to date was 13.90 at some odd 102-3ish I had finally gotten a 2.29 60' though LOL My best pass to date was 13.53 at 101.5 with some TINY 20" slicks on 13" steelies with a toolkit in the trunk and the wife riding shotgun... That was at silver dollar and they didn't say anything about helmets... so Ryan I think you could throw the kit on and run low 11's and they probably wouldn't say anything about the cage lol.

your car was like my last CRX, capable of 12s, just never got there lol You had plenty of power, but its HARD to get a great time in a chassis that is really setup up for daily driving and not tracking.

Truth. And to be honest, The motor is certainly the main race aspect of the car to date... There were plans for developing the suspension a little better and beefing up traction issues... But as you know these things come with a hefty price tag, when done fully and appropriately. And I'm at a point where The money can be better used else where heh But that's cool, cause I have the TSX to play with

Wow Mike, I raced the man lost and i'm pretty sure I gave him props..

As far as builds, numbers, proof... Look and ask around!!! I'm sorry Mike that I never worked at an Import shop, Nope... I worked at a Mustang performance shop and an Automotive Shop..
I remember this argument back in the day, I posted a few videos of cars I worked on. We won KOTS (king of the street) back to back, built 5,6,8,and 1000hp cars.. I'm sure all the owners remember me still... Lank, Deon, and some other guys that used to post seen me at work!! I never got on here to brag..

Im tired of you saying your older and been doing this longer then anybody in this thread but weapon r lol. Im old to mike damn give me some old man props lmao. Mike can you tell me how much hp jasons motor will make if i give you the parts list or just b series lol ? I know what you mean on basic set ups i can tell you about what you should make with in ten hp also but no matter what you say anybody can twist your words to try and make you out to be a dumb ass . There seems to be alot of this in this thread when im sure the guys knew what was ment to start with

By the way mike not sure if you have any pull on here any more but i posted my thread about my h2b kit trying to get it back in the whores lounge and they deleted it can you find out why. I know they delet most my threads these days because they think i should advertise with them even though im in lizella and do mainly insurance paint and body work for some reason they think im this hudge performance shop and want let me sell or buy on here any more its cool though no biggie. I would figure they would want to help catch somebody that is trying to steal my shit though instead of deleting my thread.

Which one are you?
i hear wat ur saying and its true..now listen to wat im telling u....none of my cars hook on street tires, NONE!!!!!!!.... so with that being said if im racing for money im putting on my slicks irrespective of where im racing at, thats just how we do things.....
bobby was chillin at the shop yesterday and i took him for a ride in my turbo integra so u can ask him, i have no traction on street tires......before i race for money on street tires , ill go to the trak and we lokk it up there

Im not as art with H as I am with Bs but I can prob guess pretty close. I mean there were three h23s that came out of mainstream with same parts all made same power.

I never thought yours would make 250+ and I was pretty impressed when it did. I'd like to see you run a car like Mosely just to see where it stacks up.

The "I been doing this longer" comment is not directed at anyone as disrespect. But I was racing my ZC Crx and my b16 back in 01. I'm sure people raced before that but a lot has happened in the NA scene since then. Hell I was street racing my 99cx in Tempe back in 99

h22 jones u need to go as fast as u can to satisfy urself... ive seen ur builds and respect the work u and ur father do, u guys seem pretty knowledgable, so props to u guys....however, i not coming out to prove anything, we been street racing and track racing for years in NY, so we just about seem it all.. we have raced hondas , dsm, muscle cars, even bikes, win or lose we just race cause its wat we do... u seem like u do this cause u love it too so u should be able to relate to wat im saying..... we are bring a white turbo integra, a black turbo bubble an the famous blue k series bubble u hear everyone talking about.... we bringing them out the compete and have fun with yall... recently i (stretch from NYC 2 ATL Speed Company) and Morris (midnight Auto) join forces and decided to combine our skill and shops together.... our new shop name will be Midnight ATL Performance..... we will be in woodstock GA, serving the race community to the fullest...... so with that being said h22 jones, bring ur A game so we can all meet and race all out and put faces to the names on IA....

PS.... u need as big of a shot as u can possibly get, cause GREGG making a lot of power.....hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.......g et em gregg

we can take it to the track thats not a problem...... we are living here now, so we hope to add our tuning, fabricating and building skills to the race scene on a whole....hopefully a little variety can put some fire back into to race scene again

You saying this reminded of the A6 pistons in the B7 & B2 blocks, Mini me swaps and welding in the B18.. Back in '97 & '98 I did somethings people would laugh at now.. Its all good Mike, we all started somewhere... Shit talk is only a part of the game!!
