Dieselnonuts - I have built plenty of ls1's and I was just stating you were leaning toward a cam swap was not bolt on, which I know the steps takes 3 hrs and u unbolt and bolt back no welding fab work etc .... but it's like some people say their all motor but have spry lol
Removing the motor to do engine work (pistons,crank etc) is not bolt on.
But as far as my set up it's bolt on
It's not that fast but If u want to run 'll Run ya I'm sure u know how fast a 380hp vette is? Pretty slow but no time to work on it right now.
FYI I have plenty of dyno sheets my car made 340/330 with bolt on's then cam gave it 40hp which is dead on its a small cam. And yes you probably can get 380 outta a ls1 but with every bolt on u can find, my z06 ls6 made 440/403 with heads and cam. This car has stock pulleys stock intake stock manifold, stock stock stock and makes great power the heads an manifold are killing it so yes I know what the fucks up.
