It does seem odd that he is not wanting to lock in a race with another all motor car, and wants to verify that the other car does not have a bottle by looking in trunks, but doesn't want to open any hoods. Hell, it's easy to hide a bottle under the hood - or a turbo on an F22. I've got him an all motor race with a heavy old V8 car, and he is dancing around locking it in, when the other guy has already locked in without seeing even a pic of the Civic.
