you always get what you pay for.... the quality turbo kits for the IS are around 5500-6000 and that doesn't inlcude a full exhaust or a few other key ingredients. plus the install... its gonna be at least 8-10k.

nitrous is a great alternative... the motor and stock fuel setup will allow for wet 100 shot. that should get him into the low 13s or high 12s based on driver and conditions. i have ran a 13.4 in an auto IS with a 90 shot. i have also run a 13.1 with a 90 shot on a 5 speed IS trapping 113.

but you will need to upgrade the clutch. it won't last long.

What about finding a deal on a factory TT setup from a Supra? They made decent power in stock trim, then add a little more boost, full exhaust, and a good tune, and it seems like it would be well worth the money/time.

As far as the money for doing it right, I 100% agree. My car has damn near $6k in the complete turbo setup (turbo kit, electronics, supporting mods).
