I dont know if you guys are talking about is my buddy danny friend with the skyline but if you are he totalled it this weekend. The car was in a enclosed trailed going to alabama for a race and the trailer lost control and flipped over. This guy also has a very fast civic hatchback.

Well I know the guy you guys are talking about and its true the his skyline is stock for now. He have a very fast civic. I went to school with his younger brother. Its a sliver skyline with gold rims that look like BBS, I'm not sure if they are. But yes its stock but he has plans for it. As far as what psinxs says. I hear that the skyline starts off AWD then turns RWD is this true?Originally Posted by PSINXS
Some Skylines come RWD, others have the altessa (sp) AWD system that acts as a RWD system and AWD kicks in when the system senses that the rear wheels lose traction. I may be wrong but that is how it was explained to me, its actually available on the G35x Sedan right now.
^correct. a gt-s skyline is RWD only. a gt-r however does have the phenomenal torque split AWd system called Attesa.
A fucking touch screen to make a RWD car RWD?
I have a touch screen to make women horny and get naked. It works wonders I bought straight from JDM and it has a GTR badge on it.

Well, the car does have the capability to make the switch...not so sure about your touch screen through :jerkit:Originally Posted by nightracer
The ATTESA system is fully electronic and computer controlled...I don't know if the ability to turn the AWD off is a factory feature or not but I do know it can be done through the car's computer interface. I don't have them on my computer any more but there are some old videos of two skylines street racing where you can see the system in action. They do rear wheel drive burnouts to heat the tires, but when they take off you can clearly see the car's are ripping with all four.
EDIT: I did a little research after posting...here is a link to an australian skyline board where they talk about splicing in a control module into the ATTESA control system to give it the capability to control the AWD/RWD settings. It may not be through the car's interface but in fact through an independent module mounted in the cockpit. Either way you CAN control the differential's ability to control the front half on the fly...

Also Edit: Does anyone know for a fact what the hell the acronym for the Skyline's AWD system actually is. If you look around on the net I've found it spelled a bunch of different ways...even two respectable magazine/car sites have the acronym different -- wish I knew what it actually stood for
