A bigger tb isn't needed. The oem tb flows very well for most all n/a applications. Nothing is gained from a tb with a bolt on motor. There are better places to put that money. Steeper gears are a very good addition for those years because with the head design they make good power but its all high in the rpm's so 4.10's are one of the best mods for 4v's. Using some of the online calculators you can see that at 80mph you would still be under 3000rpm. Long tubes and a tune will be good additions. Keep in mind many of the cheaper long tubes, Mac/BBK, you will have to remove the passenger side header to pull the trans if you ever needed that. I've heard hooker makes some that don't require that. Kooks will def. let you pull the trans but then your getting into the $$$.Originally Posted by 1EVILZ
