    LOL....

Let me share what is going thru my mind:

I have over 28k on my car, you know is not as easy as slapping a turbo and hitting the streets, the chassis has to be reinforced and so on....

AND then you have what a 240 with a SR20? That might be what 6 to 7k maybe.

Plus I don't know your skills, not saying that you don't have them but I ignore your background; besides even when I hit the track I ran with instructors or club racers.

So the whole tandem thingy sounds like a bad idea to me right now!! Maybe once we see each other skills we'll do it then.

Look 1st at all I'm waiting in new pistons for my engine, so the car is not drift worthy right now.

2nd IF I ever do it, you will have to sign me a check for 28k, and I'll sign you one for 7k have no issues w/that. This way if you hit me and I can't recover totaling my car, I can at least built It again. And if I hit you, you can get the car repair as well.

3rd and main reason why I won't Is plain and simple, I have no clue who you are, all I know is what you told me which is that you snitch on people, and a couple of pics getting sideways.....

So that alone shots the odds towards "I shouldn't get involve with this guy"....

I do stupid shit sometimes, but I don't do stupid shit when a stranger asks me to...

Tandem is competing. But it's not "racing". There are no judges in racing.

You have to be stupid retarded to lose it in a straight line.

Or just be smart to who you jump in the ring with, if you are that naive to be running every punk out there you probably should get a certified check...

ORRR you could just lose traction.

ORRR some1 could come into your lane.

    ORRR a road-hazard.

    ORRRR mechanical malfunction.

Can I stop now or do I go on?? No1 is gonna PAY for your fucking car b/c u agree to a test of speed or driver ability. Doesn't matter if you're drifting against Jesus things sometimes go wrong. Visit the moutain-run threads and look at what happens when something does. If you don't have the heart to start from scratch and get back in the game when/if there is a mishap maybe you need to stick to racing on Playstation and have some1 write you a check for the cost of a new memory card. You must be new at this.

thus my comment "who you jump in the ring with"

I don't know but I think Ive been in motorsports longer than most, if beening born in a familly with a racing team doesn't qualify me as been around for a long time that I don't know what will.......

I had a couple of years of doing it on the streets (around 9yrs), so I've been around but always chose who I race pretty well.

So does every professional sanctioned racing event on the Earth. The highlight reels tells me that "on any given day" something can go wrong. I surely hope that you don't think "choosing who to race" prevents that.

I think we can agree that drifting has much more risk involved than straight line drag racing.

Shit can happen in any instance, but Drifting, especially with AMATEURS, is very easy to turn bad QUICK.

If i had a car with $30k invested in it, i wouldnt drift it against some S14 lol. And YES i would be scared. Scared of some $800 S14 hitting my E36 lol

Come on kid, you cant possibly sit there and say hes not right in his thinking. Besides, tandem drifting on the street, how are you gonna say BITCH MADE when he declines, its not like you can decide who wins. There arent judges. And if you do hit him, what is he gonna do then?

I would rather be called a bitch for neglecting a callout over drifting than risk my car. Sorry.

i dont mind drifting at all, but you cant call someone a bitch if they decline a challenge from a total stranger with a car not worth nearly as much as theirs.

    Its common sense.

    * The "total stranger" point I can understand. I'm not gonna be the guinea pig unless I know you can handle a car at speed. AGREED ON THAT POINT!!

    * The car's "worth" I'll have to disagree. Bringing the cars "worth" makes ZERO sense. I've seen junkyard EF hatches BURN ROAD COURSES TO THE GROUND against Vettes - 350z - Bimmers. I've seen e30s snap the NECKS off of 60,000 Vettes. At the end of the day your car is only worth what it's worth to YOU and to people like you who have an affinity for that chassis. My 1st gen hatch is worth about 1k to most people - but you couldn't own mine it for less than $5k AS IT SITS.

my CRX would SELL for $6000-7000 (together or parted out)

Lankhoss Vette is worth $50,000 (ok prob more but just for arguments sake)

If we both go to Road Atlanta, you sign waivers and you are assuming the risk, you know what you are getting into. But i guarantee if i fucked up and hit his car at Road Atlanta he would flip the fuck out, i know i would if i was him. But at Road Atlanta, you are assuming these guys have training, experieince, seat time etc. They just dont let a CRX go full out against V8 muscle cars with no seat time. They also inspect cars, make sure they meet safety requirements, etc.

On the street, all that goes out the window.

I guess my point is that in a sanctioned environment, the driver skill is known before you hit the track, and yes ANYTHING can happen. But i know if im running HPDE 4 Car at RA they have a LOT of street time and instructors have signed off on him being able to drive.

This kid, who knows how good or how bad he is

and yes the car in your sig looks like every other $7000 S14. I suppose if you are such a pro driver you have a D1 license right? Approved cage? Placed in national events?

I'm saving right now for a Veyron, and hopefully one of these days I'll be able to buy one.

It's always been my life's dream to bring one of those to a BP meet and have a drift contest with a few Civics, Integras and $400 240's.

Just decline the "race" (or rolling car show) and move on -- but this checkbook talk is just gay. LOL. That's my only point I'm making.

I have very rarely taken my car to a road course and avoid mountain drives for this very reason......and you are about 10 times more likely to wreck into someone while drifting than doing either of those events.

You're diulluting the discussion. YOU (or me - LOL) are more than 10 times more likely to crash while doing this.

A seasoned drifter will disagree. A seasoned canyon-carver would as well. This is a debate between 2 people that drift and both drift quite well. They both are as comfortable drifting/tandem drifting as you are drinking a glass of water.

Yeah, I'm speaking of this whole "street drifting competition" thing.

I am not a professional drag racer by any means, nor is anyone I've ever run.......but it's not that hard to race in a straight line, which is why I don't mind doing it in such an amatuer setting.

Drifting, on the other hand......you can't even compare the two. Hell, you can't even really "win" on the street anyway, so it's kinda pointless.

I'm glad you said this. What do you think a mom and dad in a minivan thinks when they see 2 "amateurs" drag-racing. They are in FUCKING awe. HOLY SHIT LANKHOSS IS DRIVING AT LEAST 13.9 @ 109mph HE IS A PRO. You just said "it's not hard to drag race". Say that to some1 who doesn't do it and they will disagree.

In YOUR brain, you are chillin - changing the radio station and adjusting your seatbelt during the run. It's NOTHING to you. You're like "umm - that was easy". Same goes for drifting... to a tandem drifter he doesn't see it as a challenge. 3 inches from the other car is NORMAL SHIT. You don't just crash THEIR car if you hit some1 - you crash YOURS too ... there is no difference in the confidence level of some1 who drifts against some1 ELSE who ALSO drifts.

We are comparing a DRIFTER to a DRIFTER. It's a DIRECT comparison. 1 fighter pilot can't say "yeah, but my F22 is more expensive than your Mig29 so I can fighter-pilot better than you can. Write me a check." - LOL. GAY!!!!!!!!!! You're either a fighter-pilot or you're not. You're either a drifter or you're not. And both of these guys ARE.
