sdr, next friday night, $50, no street tires
that simple enough for you?
He won't come. Waste of time.
If the Z06 was on slicks it might be a good race but on street tires he is just going to spin.
Just a riced out F-150

I do not have a 2nd set of tires, and I do not normally do dig races in any form.
However, if I can get the money for a new set of rears which I desperately need, I may burn the last bit of these bald PS1's at a drag strip. Either way, I only have all season street radials, and will be lucky to cut a 2.0 "if" I ever do make it out to the track when you're there.

Do it GTO on street tires vs z06 on street tires.

interesting......
I'm down to do this, I just A) Don't really like racing at the track that much...since I only run on street tires (not even drag radials), I can actually have worse traction at the track than on the street and B) Don't have the $1000 to replace my rear tires right now, so I am conserving what little tread I have left heh
While it's not a good decision, I will probably still head to the track at the end of the season regardless if I can buy new tires or not ha ha So let's just plan on SDR's last day this year.
I'm not sure what you can run off the spray, but my personal best was an 11.54. If the track is sticking well for me, I'm pretty consistantly in the 11.6 - 11.8 range. I know that's quite a bit slower than you on kill, and if you don't have any setup that puts you in the same area of ET's as me, I guess I'll just have to chase you down on kill mode lol

its cool....i'll see what i can do on street tires soon....getting kinda bored of running the same times on the slicks
you all know i don't street race....so no need in acting like a cunt & trying to make it happen because it never will...i value what i have worked hard to have much more than winning or losing any race...you could always bring your vette or that s2k and see if you can chase me down
Don't call me a cunt and claim I'm trying to make this happen, I have not once in the history of knowing your screen name asked you to race on the street, because I know that's not your thing.
I will more than likely show up at the end of the season and run down the track. If something comes up between then and now, it may change things......but I really don't see any reason at this moment I couldn't make it. I am NOT, however, gonna try to get you to race off the track. In fact, I don't even find it fun running against someone if they don't wanna do it in the first place.

Ah well, right after he said it he said "...you could always bring your Vette..." so I figured he was talking to both me and Btstone.

lmao.
Cammed GTO on slicks with a big nitrous shot runs a 10.98 @ 126.
z06 is capable of exactly that time, at a higher MPH bone stock.
lmao.

Looks like straight talking to BTstone to me. lol. I would really like to see Thacker and Evil Goat run. I see this as such a better race... too bad one of them doesnt want to run.![]()

Holy shit, I just realized what happened. When he said "you can bring your Vette" he was talking to Btstone, not me ha ha
My bad EvilGoat, I thought that was rather out of line for you, but now it makes sense lol

it's all good man
and yea, i'll throw the 100 in...i actually only made 3 passes on the hundred, all in the low 12 range iirc, but that was on the bald et streets, i've never made a pass on anything lower than 150 on the slicks....might give it a try this friday and see what i can come up with for comparison

Quit bench racing and race the fucking Barbie car!
a car that traps 126 on slicks will trap higher on street tires. With traction your mph generally goes down. Once a car is sorted out, you wont generally have your best mph on the same slip with your best et. Slicks also have a little more rolling resistance than a radial.
slower than you

11.5 for the Z06...just digging in my memory banks and throwing in my $0.02, (And Josh, don't hate me for this), but I think he (Josh) was running close to that time on the 100 shot and E/T streets. Dunno what it would do on the slicks, though.
Could make for an interesting lineup...all in fun, right?![]()

Is Josh EvilGoat? I don't know if he uses 2 different shots or not, is 100 the biggest one?
I know he's run 10.98 as a personal best, and mine is 11.54...so I'm over half a second slower. I don't even know if I can run that anymore, since I almost wrecked last time at the track I'm skittish as hell now.
If he's running 2 shots, then it'd probably be a good run with him on slicks vs. my car. If he doesn't use different shots, I think him at full power on street tires would probably be the best run for us. While I believe I've got the advantage of having a "faster" car on street tires than him, I'd imagine his experience at the track is going to help him a lot in the first 330'.
I'm down to try different setups until we find one that the two of us are pretty even in, or just getting my ass drug down the track all day on kill mode lol

Nah, he started small and increased pill size up to the 150, which is where he's at now.
And yes, Josh = evil goat. I prefer knowing people by name as opposed to screen names, haha.
