all it takes is one misshift to bend a pressure plate especially with the power i think you are making.

Hell i bent a pressure plate with my 190whp CRX few years back slamming third (didnt even mis-shift).

Did the car used to shift fine, now it doesnt, or has it been like this since day 1?

Well its always done it at the dragway. I really never shift at around 8000 rpms usually while in boost...
