You know that would only work if his was the 6spd tranny from the EP3 SI cars. Plus if his tranny is like most others and the final gear is the widest with OD, then hes putting un-needed strain on the forks and synchros. But I dont know shit about the honda trannys so i might be wrong. but i would imagine all manual trannys work the same.

If he has his distance on me, the extra 10mph will only make it interesting. My ratios are for track not drag so no advantage for me, I'll be in 5th way before he his.

Well i guess people arent balling out of control like you that they can put extra strain on a tranny without regards to the possible damage. but at the same time what is 10 more mph going to prove? he goes into 5th and it is a low OD gear, with just throwing numbers out of a .68, then it would be a crusing gear with a good lose in power going from 4th-5th!
