LOL. Nothing is being forced? How can you say that when you're forcing nitrous oxide into the intake charge with over 1000psi? Nitrous is a power adder. Period. There is nothing natural about nitrous ending up as part of the combustion mix.Originally Posted by NEMO
That's why naturally aspirated classes, otherwise known as all-motor, don't allow nitrous. It's really simple.
Now, is there anything wrong with using nitrous to go faster? No, not at all. It's only a problem if you lie about it. Because it's so easy to conceal a nitrous system in a car, people often lie about it. Especially at the street races where there always seems to be a clash of egos happening. It gets even worse when money is involved. No one likes being lied to.
but understand what im saying. cams, pistons, headers, IM. they all add power also. so why is it that people do not worry about if you have a built motor as much at they do nitrous?Originally Posted by chunky
not saying you are wrong.
Nemo, where have you seen magic pistons and rods that can add 100hp? Motor internals are not classified as power adders and never will be. Power adders are considered "foreign" to NA cars in the sense they do not have to be there in order for the car to run. Understand? You are arguing a failing point my friend.Originally Posted by NEMO

Good thoughts, but the Kills Forum debated this same thing a few months ago. Its kind of like debating what mods are considered a bolt-on...but that's even more obscure.Originally Posted by NEMO
its power adder, but all you are doing is just replacing the part with some newer parts. still NAOriginally Posted by NEMO
'Nitrous oxide is stored as a compressed liquid; the evaporation and expansion of liquid nitrous oxide in the intake manifold causes a large drop in intake charge temperature, resulting in a denser charge, further allowing more air/fuel mixture to enter the cylinder. Nitrous oxide is sometimes injected into (or prior to) the intake manifold, whereas other systems directly inject right before the cylinder (direct port injection) to increase power.' now thats forcing, right?
At the end of the day, power is power. I agree with you on that. All the bad press on nitrous comes from people lying about it. If people didn't lie about having spray so often, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.Originally Posted by NEMO
I have no problem with people running nitrous. However, if I post up looking for all motor runs, and someone with nitrous comes out claiming to be all motor and chumps me, I just think that's dishonest.
However, if I post up looking for runs against a 13s car, it doesn't matter if they run 13s all motor, turbo, or with spray. Same goes for if I look for runs against a 300hp car. Doesn't matter how they make the power b/c power is power. But if I specifically say I want to run someone all motor, then leave the sneaky pete at home.
I don't race for money, so that kinda stuff doesn't bother me much anyhow.
i already got that d15 header from vteckidd, Ivanit does wonders
