His is stock. Mine has intake, exhaust, short shifter, engine damper, light weight crank pulley

it moves out pretty ok for a non S. The other guy had to miss a shift or just give up. No way those mod's net that kind of a difference.

They kind of do. When I put the short shifter in it started to chirp shifting to third.

Im just saying you are only about 15-20 hp over the guy your racing. You left him like you had a 100hp advantage. Short shifter will improve your time a bit I'll give you that, no HP gain though. Not knocking you at all, the car sounds and moves nicely in the vid. i'd just like to see you run someone whose gonna run you right. That guy you were running needs to learn to race or something....or maybe he's narcoleptic

To the OP, the way your car sounds remind me of a gen1 Neon with intake and exhaust, which I thought sounded pretty good when you have the right exhaust.

BTW, a short shifter won't make the car any faster or chirp 3rd gear. Chirping 3rd gear in a vehicle with not alot of tq usually means A. your tires are worn or B. your alignment is out. I'm just saying.....

. And how would it not? Quicker shift means a less drop in RPMs, less drop is higher RPMs, Higher RPMs are where the powers at. Makes sense

Well yes, a faster shift will keep you in the sweet spot better, but it's not going to improve the times exponentially. A few tent's perhaps. Im sure it feels better than the boat oar throws of the stocker.

Ok so first off, its a "Cooper" not " Copper"

Secondly, a cooper S vs. non S wouldn't be that big of a difference...

Lastly, I would like to hear the other mini drivers thoughts about the race. Im sure he wouldn't say he wasnt trying...at all.

If you really think your car is such a badass along with your driving skills, instead of running people in the mountains, come run the NASA event in december at Road Atlanta. That gives you enough time to get tires and brakes since you couldn't afford a cooper S.
