    ford 5.0= 302...........
    chevy 5.0 is a 305 right?........ just a little difference in the stats there not that it really matters. man i miss my accord

    Yes as far as the size of each company's 5.0, no as to them being similar. The 302 is built much differently than the 305 and has a lot more potential. The 305 is basically a truck motor with good low end torque, but no high RPM horsepower, and it revs about 2 grand lower than a 302 does.

    5.0 mustangs are 301.59 if you want to be technical. appearantly 302 was a more attractive badge than 301.59.

    4" bore, 3" stroke = 302
    4.030", 3.25" = 331
    4.030", 3.50" = 347
