Thats why I asked to owner not you. I cannot help if someone who might know says so. For all I know its smoke and mirrors.
Hmm...sounds like a fun lil bunch of runs. I was thinking I might come out for this one, but I think (Batl)Brandon has it all taken care of! Haha
11 second cars calling out 12 second cars?
Fuck yeah.
I'm looking to run some stock LS1's too if anyone is interested, just lmk.
actually you were going to be my next callout. i really just want to see first how i compare to a regular vette.Originally Posted by Lankhoss

From the kills on your list, sounds like you will put a hurting on a stock Vette. If my friend gets his car back this week, he will probably be a good run for you. Ported stock blower Cobra, which is probably only 2mph slower than me in the quarter mile. Actually, I need to run him first to make sure my car isn't down on power lol

-91 240SX -- CA18 Power...SOLD, now terrorizing the streets of Alabama
Well, my oil pressure dropped. I changed the oil and found more shavings on the drain plugs than normal (however I've had MTI change it the last two times, they may have not cleaned them).
So it's POSSIBLE I've hurt the motor, but the 'ol seat of the pants test will rarely pick up a drop in 40 or 50 horsepower. HOWEVER....the street dyno never lies!!!

You don't have warranty on the car anymore do you? How many miles/yrs do they give in the C6Z warranty?Originally Posted by Lankhoss

I don't know if I've hurt the motor or not, it runs fine and still seems to pull just as hard....the oil pressure just dropped about 10 psi. I know right after I got my TB and intake milled the car also felt fine, then I ran someone and got my ass handed to me. So afterwards, I ran Rick and was dead even with him (which is even slower than I was stock), so I was obviously down a LOT of power and didn't know it.
Also, I've been reading Corvette Forum lately and there have been quite a few threads about early '07 motors blowing (which is what I have), and it has me paranoid as hell.
man i really hope it's fine brother, or at least they replace it for you with no problems!!!Originally Posted by Lankhoss

Well since I wasn't tuned I would spike anywhere from 20-24psi on a good night.Originally Posted by SmackedInATL

... hey mr. strokemy240'scock! Do you know what kind of turbo the STI had? Did it have a front mount? I need details. Once I have 'em I can safely come to a conclusion about your 240's power - because, well. I've raced a few 240s that were boost assisted before, and with the little power my wrx had I would either win or lose by a couple cars.![]()
The wrx belongs to my home boy, Justin. He traded his turbo-diesel 2500HD for it. From i can see, it had a big turbo which appears to be a t3/t4(3 way flange). The downpipe was also a 3'', and a full exhaust. He had a BOV but no FMIC. IT had something...Tune, Sticker on it. From the readings on the boost gauge, it will spike at 25 and come down to 20-22. Like i said, he bought it like that so we're not really sure of all the mods. It is quick but not fast. It seems like it runs pretty good. He pulled on a new Hemi srt8.Originally Posted by Maniacc

I also noticed a lot more particles on the magnet on the plug when I changed my oil. So until it gets checked, I really don't know how severe the problem is.....but the signs all indicate that I have damaged the bearings, which has happened to other Z06s under similar conditions.

Well damn looks like you nailed it on the head because messed up bearings is usually related to oil starvation...I'll fix up these posts for you too...Originally Posted by Lankhoss
Thanks man.
I can't call GMPP until Monday. More than likely they won't cover the cost to tear the motor down to find the problem. It could also be something minor, like a shaving getting lodged in an oil line or somewhere else impeeding the flow. But more than likely, I'll have to wait until the motor blows before I can get any warranty work done, ugh.
how many miles does GM cover the LS7?Originally Posted by Lankhoss
Because mine is an '06, GM covers 36,000 miles. I have the GMPP extended warranty, and it covers to 60,000.Originally Posted by HypnoToad

Oh no, if the car is running.....you better believe I'll be putting the coals to her!
