Who knows?
YeahWell this past build a few months ago I had them put some -11cc pistons in, that bumped the compression from 8.5:1 up to ~9.5:1. So I'm keeping those pistons, but for the rest of it, just replacing everything that needs to be replaced in a build. The rods are still stock, but it's got a new crank (snout broke off of the old one, reason for the rebuild). The rest of it is just ARP bolts/studs, federal mogul and clevite bearings, etc.
They're paying for everything this time though, even the new block, since they missed these cracks in the block on the rebuild. It had been drinking a bit for almost two years up until the crank broke (unrelated to coolant leak). It was drinking quite a bit more than it had in the past on this build, so the cracks must have been getting bigger. They said it was the first cracked Cobra block they'd ever seen.
Long story with my engine, lol. But hopefully this time around it will be 100% and no coolant leak. I just hope the tranny doesn't decide to give out soon, it's got 100,600 miles on it - but no signs that it's going bad and I don't ever powershift.
