The thing is, how is it any different if Smacked calls someone out from a roll when he's 99% sure he can win than if Thacker calls someone out from a dig when he's 99% sure he can win. The only difference is that Smacked sucked it up and ran him from a dig knowing he would probably lose. Not always the case. I was able to beat (barely) a GT500 making 683rwhp. I talked to the guys in the shop who worked on it, and that's the number they gave me. The p:w is in his favor, yet I still edged him out. I have also raced KB Cobras making right at 600rwhp, or just over. Again, I'm either even or a hair ahead from a roll, yet they have a better p:w ratio than me.

I raced Marshal, who is making 10 - 15 more rwhp than me....edged him out each time as well.

Your p:w ratio is about 90% of what determines who will win a race from a roll. But that's what makes it fun, because it's not always the case, and there's only 1 way to find out.....

I'm talking about power to weight ratio. It doesn't matter what hp a car makes, or how much it weighs......it's about the p:w ratio.

The 2 Mustangs I listed had better p:w ratios than me. Marshal's car barely weighs more than mine (like 40lbs).

Gearing can play a part in racing from a roll, as well (although I don't think as much as it does from a dig). But there are other factors that are more important from a roll, that aren't as much from a dig. Things like powerband and aerodynamics.
