I went ahead and hopped in that thread.
That dude can race me at SDR if he wants. I hate going from a dig on the street (of course I've been suckered into it more than once before).
Haha well there is only one way to find out. Gotta run him..Quote:

On DR's it would be much better, but from any speed below 60/70mph it'll still light them up like crazy
Yeah, I didn't realize he was on street tires. It's tough, I know. I can't get into mine until about 80+mph when it gets below 55 - 60 degrees. You just can't go WoT. But he should still be able to put a big hurtin' on 300whp cars even at half throttle until 100mph or whatever. Most cars weigh 3200+ lbs. So honestly, MOST cars would be so much slower he could easily just pussy foot it through half the race and be fine.Quote:

Man you got BIG balls driving like that on that road ...... I live right up the road , the PD sits there all the time.. Little fyi .... a lot of racing has been done there and bikes like to take the twisties there a lot. All this + SMALL TOWN PD = no fun... BE CAREFULL
Car looks fast. I know your pain about the traction ... Im about to go back to the dyno and ill be about where you are now... Well have to meet up some time.
hey 03COBRAV8R clean out you pm's..

all that motor why dont you just upgrade tires. and go a little bigger.
If you are talking to me....the higher speed, the better. My car doesn't even hit its peak HP in 2nd gear until about 75mph.Quote:

yea but you also have to look at gearing and aerodynamics.....and the ability to feather the throttleQuote:

But maybe it depends on the size. Street tires are VERY expensive on 17+" wheels, but DR's aren't that bad for those sizes.

If we did it - we'll have to do it late tonight, but Brad said you wouldn't be able to make it past 12 :( Maybe we can try 10?

No big deal.. its damn cold anyway
Yea no prob man - we'll get a run in soon. It is cold as hell
Yeah, it's almost an hour drive up there for me and Rick. A weekend would be better. I don't feel comfortable going that early, anyway. Plus, the warmer the better :D

Ok, sounds good.
I tried a few runs last weekend when it was 30 degrees out or so. Couldn't even give it half throttle up until around 70 - 80mph, was useless.

Yeah, that was something different. Not quite sure what happened there. The track was slick as hell, but I think my rear tires were spinning then quickly grabbed with one spinning way faster than the other.
