You evidently don't know who we are. Lank and I are street dyno professionals, we are well aware of the myriad of factors that determine the performance capabilities of various vehicles.Quote:

Now, we ask that your vehicle is mechanically sound and operating at 100% on the day of the race. We don't want to take the long, arduous drive out to the test spot only to have a no-go situation due to a mechanical fault with your vehicle. We are well aware that vehicles such as yours are considerably more prone to such failures as a result of continued, albiet not reccomended, operation dangerously close to the edge of the safe performance envelope.
Brad's vehicle was designed to operate reliably at his power levels, however, that is not the case with many of his opponents. To date, 6 of the vehicles that Brad has raced, have suffered catastophic mechanical and/or structural failures while conducting these performance tests - we hope yours will fair more favorably.
wow.. that could not have sounded more profesional :goodjob: my car might break... might not... but im sure it will be fun...
Ah ha ha ha ha ha!!!
This thread just turned out great!!
Those posts are too funny :D
:lmfao: :lmfao: Thanks. Yea any race is fun, I'll be the camera man if you guys set up a race. So that VW is 300 + WHP? That's gotta be pretty damn fast. What's it weigh?Quote:

Haha, I just hijacked the hell out of it - sorry guys, didn't know I couldn't do that!
No one knows who the hell I am, I just pop on the forum once every few months for no good reason other than to type up some rediculous post using unnecessary big words. Most often those posts have nothing to do with the thread topic - how about that.
Hey Chad, you take good pics, I'd like your camera and your skills please - just, hand 'em over.
Rick have you been drinking?Quote:

Wow, 460+rwhp and 2800lbs? Why are you even looking for anyone below 500rwhp? lol
because by the time he hooks you will be to far ahead to catch...maybeQuote:

Hah thanks. That sounds like a plan - my car will probably not be ready by then, but if it is then I'll head down there! :cheers:Quote:

You could barely even go 1/2 throttle from 60 in the Golf, the other car would be lonng gone by the time it hooked.
stick a m/t et street 235.50.15 or something on there. that thing would roll out from a 2nd gear roll then
Yeah, the weight transfer of a FWD vehicle is less than optimal when wide open throttle is applied. The lateral acceleration forces effectively transfer the static weight off of the front tires and towards the rear of the vehicle. The result of which is a reduction in tire to ground contact force and area which in turn reduces the surface/tire friction coefficient below levels that would yield optimal forward acceleration.
Brad, you guys might be even, you'd both be feathering the shit out of it in these cold temps, :lmfao:
lol Rick definitely saved the thread.........but lank would rape the hell outta the VR6
I thought he was on DR's? And yeah, my car has 345's, but breaks loose worse than cars with more HP and smaller tires (albeit DR's as opposed to my street tires).Quote:

Don't be so sure about that. This car has Lank beat by 300lbs and almost the same power/torque. That 300lbs is huge.Quote:

There's only one way to find out - a gentlemanly joust on the ol' street dyno.
I'll set it up!
C6 Z06 vs. VR6T
Make it happen!
Yeah, it'd be a good run with equal traction.
But if you literally CAN'T hook, and are looking for 300whp cars to run, maybe it would be worse than I suspect.
you should also invite this guy out....Quote:
