Trying to get an idea of the speeds/power of all the cars there. So the max wasn't spraying...is it a 5spd or auto? What's the 1/4 times of these cars?

I dont know the other times of the cars but the previous threads noted my car wasnt up to par. I was running 7-8 psi instead of 21-22 psi. Boost all the way down and my cams not dialed in.

My car has run mid 12s before the cams but up at 21-22 pounds with a 50/50 mix.

Its quick but the galant wasnt running right if you read the 7 other posts about it.

Gives a distorted view of how fast the car is. The crx and the maxima was a good race though.

I read the other posts and know the Galant wasnt running right, but if a Maxima with an intake can beat a mildly modded b16 crx, its fast

crx needs to shift quicker. Seems like a slow shift from 2-3 on the all motor run.

The maxima has i/h/e and maybe pulleys and a few other goodies. Its a nice car.

whatever secrets u got, its workin. I know 6's love bolt - ons and make easy power. Ive been wanting to come out there for the longest since my upgrade. I still want to run the maxima tho.

I don't think I ever saw an answer (maybe I missed it?), but is your Max a 5spd or auto?

EDIT: nevermind...I see it's a 5spd. You ever make it to Commerce? You running like low 15's maybe? I have an auto 95. Feels like low 16's but it's hard to tell because it has the low end when I'm using to racing Honda's w/ more of a top end...

Never been to Commerce.

Never been to any track really..... but if I got a few runs in, Im sure I could do anywhere from 14.2-14.5

A stock 5spd will run mid/low 15s.

I'm not too sure about those times at Commerce. There's no way I could see Kevin doing better than those times with just adding ZEX (he was doing 15.4's w/o it). A 75 shot (someone correct me if I'm wrong if Kevin's not running a 75 shot) couldn't drop 1.5+ seconds (he was pulling you pretty good on the bottle so that would mean he'd be like a 14 flat or so if you'd run low to mid 14's).

Don't forget, Commerce sucks so the normal times you see a "stock 5spd" run isn't the normal times you'd see it run at Commerce. But, Commerce is the only place I've run folks (not much into running on the street) to compare against. Hence the reason I asked if you ran there in the first place.

Stock 3rd gen Preludes (what I'm very familiar with) run low to mid 16's stock but at Commerce you would be lucky to get mid to high 16's with a few bolt ons.

All my opinion though. I'd suspect you run high 14's (no disrespect...Commerce is just that bad!) with Kevin at a good mid 14 (I've seen typical 1 second reductions in the 1/4 w/ a 75 shot).

All this aside, we should all meet up at Commerce for one more go at it this season. I need to see mid 14's before the years over! Trap speed is there if I could just get any kind of a decent dig out of this Lude!

I'm going to organize a group together in a few weeks, before Commerce closes. Test N Tune is on Friday & starts @ 5 believe. Traffic on 285 will be a pain @ that time. I will make a thread in the Events section when it comes near. I want to run my new setup & see how it does.

I used to own a 5-speed Maxima and I ran 14.9 @ Commerce in 100+ degree heat with only CAI, Y-pipe and exhaust.

Edit: and going from a car that could run a 14.9 in poor conditions to a car that's best time has been a 16.3 in perfect conditions is one hell of a change.

You went one way I went the other! lol 16.1 to 14.8 at Commerce (though this ludes capable of better than that...I need more track time).

yes, except it needed an EGR maintenance would was killing the power quite a bit.
