I get sick of all the drama... so I decide that I should make a trip up to Gnet to see how they do it on the northside as its been a while since I've been up there.
Last two times I went, my camaro either blew up, or went over a curb @ 90.
So, I get up to the spot around 11. We all bull**** around for a while.... and then finally decide on the spot to run.
We only are racing for 20 bucks. We get to the racing spot and decide to try and get it over fast, due to the security lady patrolling the area around the complex.
I try and do a burnout and my poor stock goat just bogs![]()
We line up, LT1Ultraz does a quick hand drop and I leave on Maniac and take the jump...*I was scared ****less of a bigger turbo WRX car... I know what they are capable of and I didn't want to take any chances with my stock GTO*
I ride the clutch out perfect and absolutely nail the launch. Maniac doesn't chase.

I throw it in reverse, back it up and line up again. Everyone can smell my clutch at the starting line... damn stocker.
Marcin waits for Maniac to get ready, hands up... hands drop and we are off. My launch this time isn't as perfect, but it hooks good. You can hear some wheelspin for 20-30 feet on my part. Through first gear we are pretty close to dead even. Maniac has some hellashish gearing in that car because he was out of first gear with a quickness, and third gear came just as fast. I edge on him around 60-70 mph and put a fender on him to where we cross the finish line @ 90-100 MPH.
He only wanted to do an 1/8th mile, so that's what he got. I think if we had gone a little bit further I might have extended it to 1-2 cars due to the gearing differences.
Don't let that WRX fool you, it rides out good.
Props to Maniac on the good race, and for the $20 to pay half my gas for coming all the way to Gwinett and all the way back home.
