To be dead honest I would take an SRT 4 over an Evo.
I prefer the STI over both but theres just something to me that screams major homo about the Evo's.
A red SRT lowered, with the spoiler removed on some nice black rims with drag radials in the front would be a good cruiser car IMO.

i didnt even think a stock evo was that fast thought i was mid-high 13,hell u could buy a 00-02 camaro ss or trans am for 9k,and be right there with a reliable DD

well, if thats the case, you can get a foxbody mustang and be running 10s or less for less than the price of a used SRT4

Sadly... the Evo as good of a car as it is doesn't appeal to me in any way shape or form. I don't hold much respect for ANY stock turbo EVo.... darkstars car and ofcourse Lunchbox's car moves out but this poor willum cat has a pretty slow car.

Let me break it down to all of you. First of all, a neon and lancer are both great cars. You can't beat their mpg ratings. The Evo vs. Srt-4 debate is pure stupidity at its best. Anyone with a good set of eyes can tell you that not only is the Evo better looking, but also faster and much more well balanced than the Srt-4. This whole 10k bet, is all just a front. Just like saying you have some cookies in your closet and you're more than welcome to go get them, if you dare. You add a verse that could confuse someone into not wanting to get the cookies anymore. Same goes with racing. Add more money than the guys is used to seeing and he'll back off completely.
From my time on this forum, I personally don't see anything wrong with ThackerSS and his actions. Sure he talks smack in every thread he posts in, but to let it get to you shows how poweful his words are. He races. That's a lot more than a lot of people can say here. Some of you hardly race, yet he talks smack, races, and comes back the winner. He's proven this. No one can criticize him and his actions. And that's the bottom line.

There is no real answer to this "discussion" because everyone buys different types of cars for different types of reason. Someone would rather have an awd car over a fwd if they lived in a place that would get snow blizzards 2 or 4 times a year. Wouldn't you? An Srt-4 isn't a bad car, it's cheap and can be made pretty quick with minor bolt ons. Still, don't you hate it when you can't put the back windows down while you're sitting in the driver seat? Must be a pain to have to manually do it everytime. Evos are great cars too, fast from the factory and way better balanced than the Srt-4, period.
As a side note. You can buy these cars for 20k or less now a days. They're both awesome "bang for your buck" cars, imo.

I have been to the track with Willium multiple times. He ran consistant low 12's at 110+ with 1.6-1.8 60'.. granted that was on street tires and a tranny that was going south. This was also on his old setup and at Commerce (****ty track). I have no doubt in my mind that Willium would walk thacker the whole way down the track
I dont understand why he wont do it then. Im not buying his "its not worth my time" excuse, nor his "$10k bet". Put up or shut up.

I was hoping for some 128-130 this fall if everything comes together right. You must have been completely bone stock with a 150 shot or so... or maybe even an auto.
*edit:I am just talking out of my ass. Of course this will never happen because my car is bone stock with intake / exhaust and I would never put nitrous on my Daily.*
