Yellow GTI vs silver s2000

So nothing exciting but I was on my way home from six flags and this crazy yellow gti swirving all over the place goes by me pretty quick, so I speed up and pull next to him and where doing like 80 and I hear him down shift so I drop it to 4th and burn him. In like 4 or 5 seconds I was a couple car lengths ahead of him. My brother was trying to get the camera out but I didnt feel like doing anymore runs cause there were cops radaring. This was on 285 btw.



Also I destroyed some red integra on 400 a few nights ago. We were going south and I dont even know what he was thinking. I pulled on him so hard I was easily 15 car lengths within 10 seconds. So if you see this.... yea

Don't know anything about GTI's are they supposed to be fast? I mean I don't think the R32 is quick.

Depends on your definition of quick. To me an R32 is quick. gTI's arnt slow. But they are civics... He had an exhaust and some stickers and some black wheels with a chrome lip and was weaving through traffic like a maniac. So after I killed him i put it back on cruise control and shook my head at him... He also had an alabama tag.

LoL yeah. I guess it depends on what fast is to you. I just got a 5.7 GTO as my DD and my Built motor 240SX which is getting tuned next monday. Last time it made 403 whp but it's still not that fast compared to my old bike or ctagsr's Evo.

see i havent ever owned a bike and before my s2000 was my civic EX! lol so to mee, my s2000 is fast. haha and im at work too, I just want to know who these two douche bags where trying to race something they obviously werent going to beat.

Depends on your definition of quick. To me an R32 is quick. gTI's arnt slow. But they are civics... Yea he was slow. They are semi quick. faster than civics and i think a little faster than gsr teggys... not too sure on that tho

I think that is pretty quick for a stock engine with just a chip or maybe a couple of mods.

The s2000 is quick, but hell its a much more expensive car than a vw gti. I think the quickness all depends on what class of speed you are trying to get into. If you just want a high 12s to low 13s car then you can reach it with a gti. But it is alot harder to reach it in a integra or civic. But if you are shooting for 10s then a GTI is not going to compare unless you are talking major engine work.

yeah, integras, civics, and gtis all fall somewhere in the same class about. s2ks are like a whole class above those though, along with 350s and maybe rx-8s (they're pretty slow actually). a good friend of mine rolls around in a basically stock 01 s2k, but he still gets kills all the time. in terms of most street cars out there, those cars are quick. but along side my mustang, my friends big turbo wrx, and my friends big turbo srt4 (and almost every other car around with some work done)... not so much. s2ks should be reserved for aftermarket turbo kits period. otherwise they pale a little imo
ps. this isnt a hate on the 2k, those cars look pimp

I've probably seen you on 400 a couple of times if you live in the area. GTI's are slow for a turbo car but good way of putting him in his place. I hate seeing people swirve in and out of traffic, I used to do it so I know its fun but completely selfish.

Yea I used to do a lot of swurving but i keep it under control now. No need to drive like that when really it doesnt kill time at all unless your going mad fast like 110... lol

yea im on 400 from 9:30-10 going north from 285 all the way to exit 11. then i leave work and am on 400 from like 7 - 7:15 going south and get off on 285... I have a silver s2k with red and black interior and black rims with invidia dual exhaust. and im tall so my head is right at the height of the windshield lol

A chipped 1.8t with tb will stay side by side with an s2k on the highway up untill 80+ then the s2k slowly pulls. I know this b/c I have race a few s2k's in my Jetta. If it was a vr6 I have no idea what those can dostock or with mods. I bet it was a 2.0 lol

One of the first races I had with an s2k was an ap2 I think(Like Bretts s2k). I was driving down to Florida and was on the road for about 5 hours. I see hids bouncing down the road hauling ass behind me. I was like ok its time to make this road trip a little more fun. Went from 5th to 3rd. Held in the clutch. Boost was built up. I just waited for the right timing. Here he comes right next to my rear about to fly past me. I poped that ****ing clutch and gunned that motha ******. I got his attn. We slowed down to abotu 35-40mph. I hung with him up to about 85-90. He slowly pulled from. We shut it down at about 125mph and he was a car lenght ahead of me.

Now at the track its a different story. lol

Ive got a 02 gti with boltons And Ive ran 2 s2000's and I have never lost to one. Its not even chipped just a clamped map sensor it made 204whp and around 260 ft/lbs and ran a 13.6 at 109mph.

Paul's (Admin's) golf pulled all day long on a Mustang Gt a few times when we were headed to South Carolina one time. And he was making in the mid 200's horsepower and the low 300's torque.

those new GTI's are good for low 15s stock. ive seen them run at the track before and the guy never broke past a 15.5. like someone said tho, with a turbo upgrade and someother minor things tho they can be pretty stout. expensive to make fast tho..
