    Default Sentra vs CRX

Well last night I met up with Kevin at BP and saw his really clean CRX. Well we decided to go and have a few runs.

I think we ran about 4 times and my clutch was still slipping a bit on the 1st 2 runs, but the 3rd and 4th it really didn.t

The 1st run we didn't really get lined up too well. We started at around 50mph or so, and he pulled me until around 90mph or so after which I pulled a bit.

2nd run, we went around 45mph or so, I started in 2nd. He pulled again a bit right off the bat but I reeled him and passed him. Took up to around 110 or so.

The 3rd and 4th runs were also around 50mph or so. My clutch actually didn't slip this time. I pulled right off the 3rd honk and continued to pull.

All in all I was really impressed with both cars. I didn't really know how fast his CRX would be because I don't know much about hondas and their motors. But his 1.6l definately held its own and man that thing is louddddd!

    Good runs!!!

1st & 2nd I would jump on the Sentra about 1/2 - 1 car length till he shifted into 4th, then he started pulling hard. About 2 cars ahead of me by 100 or so.

On the 3rd & 4th run my plugs were starting to melt from the 75 shot of nitrous.

After the last run my car was misfiring like crazy. When we got off the hwy I checked & found that 3 out 4 plugs were melted & pieces were broken off.

Replaced the plugs & it's still messed up, looks like the Rex will be down for a little while. I knew I should of put those colder plugs in, 2 stage colder next time! Next time lets do a 60 mph roll so I can get into Vtec

Good runs. You could tell whos car was screwing up on different runs, because one run the Sentra would be pulling kinda hard and the another run the CRX would be keeping up pretty good. Another run the CRX would be way behind and sputtering. On another both cars would be hauling ass with the SE-R pulling ahead progressively.

Don't forget Gary in the 69 Camaro was running everyone down. I've heard people talk about that car being fast but until last night I've never actually seen it get up and go like that. I could barely keep up in the 86.

haha no, It'd just be nice if the damn thing (86) could get out of it's own way.

Well... they were racing in a straight line, no corners involved. Falken Azenis on my little lightweight POS make it stick fairly well in the twisty stuff.

I saw/found out about the Initial D tv show just after I bought the car. I just thought it was a neat video game for the longest time.

I can tell by your user icon alone you know your stuff.

I wasn't racing I was trying to keep up. If you knew shit about anything you'd know that the AE86 Corolla weighs around 2000lbs stock, mines been lightened. I guess then you'd also know that the motor in the 1986 Toyota Corolla GT-S is called the 4A-GE and it was designed by Lotus and Toyota and it is also the motor currently being used it the RACE CARS in the Toyota Atlantic series. I guess you'd also know it revs to 7500+k rpm, has disc brakes all the way around and came from the factory with an LSD. Isn't that interesting? But you're right. I would never race my Corolla either, and I usually don't unless some random crowd of people knows what the car actually is (usually dumbshit ricers like you, don't know what the hell it is (most people think it's an early Accord).) and just wants to see it go anyway.

It's cool though, maybe one day you'll get an education about cars and stop looking at decals at the nopi store. Hopefully by then I'll have some power.

Go to www.google.com and type in one of these "AE86, Hachiroku" read then open your mouth.

EDIT: I bet you'd never race a Sentra either. But maybe you should go do some research on this little engine called the "SR20", and a little car called made between (edit 1991-1994 called Nissan Sentra SE-R.

I too, live in the Barrett parkway "area/vicinity". Well... I'm more like 5-10 minutes away, but it's the place I frequent the most.
