Direct injection, oil squirters, and infinitely adjustable camshaft phasing via the pcm. But mostly, direct injection and the oil squirters. Completely safe (and even conservative) at 12.5:1 AFR undead heavy boost, and combustion temps are relatively low compared to a port injection motor due to the DI and the extra cooling from the oil squirters.
