Evo's aren't slow.. their handling rivals with other high performance cars out there such as the lamborghini mercalano{however u spell it}..porches, etc. Known for being a legend in Rallying; Straight away is pretty quick for a stock car which is better then 80% or higher of the factory made vehicles out there. Evo's are a bad ass car to have powerwise and handling wise and its a 4door!

I've never seen the new mustang gt's pull an evo in a downshift before though. Most of the rumors and vids I've seen, the gt gets smoked. I seen one modded at the track run a 13.8 but thats how fast their supposed to run stock. Its a heavy car though.

fair enough. On a minor bolt on Evo 8 I would win by about one car. That was at like 340hp. My car is less aerodynamic and much heavier. I will quicker very soon.

400 bhp is still alot compared to the U.S version. But yea, its all good in fun & games. If I wanted to get a domestic, I think I'd like a Rouche stage 2 or something like that. Those things are bad ass too.

Why? its a GT with a body kit and minor suspension.... for the money u could get a GT and put a blower on it.

I've raced a few evo 8's. and one 9

first owner had a white one...typical. I dont remember who it was. Did a 35 roll and pulled a car on him. I know he had an exhaust and maybe a better intake for his turbo. dunno what else, stock boost

2nd owner was a white evo, my buddies was at 20-22psi and I pulled him by half a car. Then he turned up to 24 and left me by half a car-1 full car.

3rd was PMS', i forgot his name. Had a red evo with a GT35r and pulled a car then walked me.

4th was a stock evo 9 mr, I yanked a half a car immediatley, then he just left me.

o and to your statement...a car is only as good as the driver is. Just b/c a car has 400+ hp...doesnt mean the driver can drive it right.

how did I prove my self wrong? the one evo I beat had MINOR bolt ons. lol. I lost to an evo with a GT35R....ok. thats acceptable. I lost to an Evo 9 which are much quicker. I beat my friends with higher boost, and I beat an Evo with stock boost.....so...where did I prove myself wrong? Are you upset that my car is faster than you think? Are you like one of those cry baby ass 350z owners who when proven wrong pout and slit your wrists in the dark?

In my opinion, any car that can keep up close to you is not considered *slow* because you didn't smoke them. Beating somebody by a half a car or 1 car is quick because they kept up with you. If anyone were to keep up with me, I wouldn't call them slow. I'd be like, dam, that shiets quick! But if I were to beat he/she by a few cars; yea, he/she got smoked! Besides, from a dig and from a roll are different stories. Btw I wouldn't get a GT and add a blower because my car came with a blower and if i were to use the money instead of buying a blower for another car..I'd be running 11's by now. Evo's are one of the best tuning cars out there. All you need is under 2g's.. and its even more Evo and DIMSUM. Theres one evo owner whose runnin low 12's with only 320whp. That's only like a 40hp increase from stock. Aint hatn on Mustangs or domestics; I just think the evo's get madd props everywhere it goes. Its in movies, its in Japan, people turn heads everywhere I go and I'm still stock.

incorrect sir. 320whp is well over 40 more than stock... evos are 280ish to the crank stock, so probably around 235-250ish to teh wheels... its something to consider.
