spec miatas run between 1:40 and 1:45 if theyre even close to being competitive.

The only useful thing you have mentioned is the time around the track. And I would guess that 1:40 is doable by a C6Z, and 1:45 would be about average. My guess is a C5Z wouldn't be far behind that.

I don't think there's anyway a stock C5 Coupe could run those times, but I'd imagine a C6 Couple could break 1:50. 1:40 - 1:45 is a better time than I had expected. I was making my original post based on what I've seen at RA....and I've seen stripped Miatas getting pwned by everything else.

Also, I may have gotten confused on what a "spec" Miata is. I believe you said an intake/exhaust, suspension and tire upgrade Miata would run with a stock Corvette, and I assumed that's what a "Spec" Miata was. So if it's not, then I apologize for basing my judgements against a different car than what you were refering to.

i love how the top gear guy gets to drift the **** outta it

you guys (zo6 guys) are what makes me push and push my datsun/nissans. +5 to some very worthy opponents. as i've said in person to you guys. it takes a lot of cahones for an import to hang with ya, but you guys are fast as hell out of the factory.

i don't see it as a "fair" race to bring a full out raced out (or riced out lol) heavily modded import and barely lose (yet still lose) to a bone stock Z06, then say i give the import a lot of credit for losing by a little.....

it's apples and oranges.

it'd be "fair" or "rep worthy" race if BOTH cars were stock, or both cars were heavily modded. but putting da govanaaahhh on steroids import vs a bone stock mullet driving sports car then thinking you did something fantastic is self deception lol

if my heavily modded import beats a heavily modded domestic, then i'm happy and it was fair. but if my heavily modded import walks by a bone stock lamborgini mercielago or a stock Z06 it feels good to know i'm faster, but it's a reality check when they come back at me with bpu's or with 1 mod.....NITROUS and kick my imports ****in ass ROFL HAHAHAHA.

frankly, you can't take anything away from z06's. they're bad ass cars. if you say otherwise, you're in denial.

it'll always be the import vs domestic, but saying a suped up car is better than a bone stock car is not a fair comparison.
