I'm saying my M3 is not a straight line car, period. It wasn't meant to be and that's why I don't like straight line racing. I have much more fun on roads that actually have turns. Obviously my buddy with the Z isn't a good driver and can't handle the power, but to say a 350Z is a better track car out of the box is hilarious. And ZeD, which M3 would be a nice daily driver and still a track beast, because the E36 M3 is the popular choice by far to the majority of BMW guys/girls. (Go ahead and pull the oh-so classic E30 M3 is the true M3 track car, line, I hear it all the time, lol)

I'll take you up on that, but aren't most Atlanta area strips down for the winter? PM me, if you'd like.

Maybe, maybe not. I'm not focused on straight line mods with this car, suspension is more my thing. And with the exception of an M50 manifold, 3.5" intake setup, and tuning of some sort, I'm not planning on many mods until I figure out whether I want to go FI or not.

out the box.. 350z>e36 m3 in all aspects. the e46 is a different story however... having a faster straight away it's hard for the Z to keep up.. however the 07 Z can beat the e46 as well.

in the 03/04 defense my car puts down more trq then the the 07 has horses....and we all know hp looks good on paper but tq wins races...

the 07 is better up top buts its like a nissan s2k, it revs higher allowing for more hp but the higher airflow and some other aspects decrease tq. Even 07's with the same mods as me have 20 to 30 ft lbs tq less then my 03. and the e46 has a launch controller similar to a two step, that makes a few tenths of a seconds difference.

just my but then again my car is tuned by a lsX shop

she was implying that it was torqueless and it's high horsepower/rev limit makes up for it.. which is partly true.. but it's got just as much if not more torque as the 03-06 Z's, and it's DEFINITELy faster, by a large margin.

as you can see from this dyno sheet a stock 07 dyno's at 257whp/234wtq.

which is far better than the 03-06 on both numbers.

her car may have more torque..but that's because it's modded.. so it should.

You're correct. The new HR motor is by far stronger then the previous gen.
