Twin Turbo C5 Vette gets EVOWNED

The STS kits are best left on automatics, since the wasted air volume from the 20 feet of piping is only delayed when you first floor it on an automatic.

What's funny is that the guy with the vette picked the 55-120 run, and he STILL lost. And although he was catching up at about 5 mph, he claims he didn't reach 120.
That's BS, because if he was catching up, he could have reached 120 BEFORE Rudy, and still be behind, and still lost. Hasn't anyone seen the difference in trap speeds at the dragstrip? A 12.9 @ 102mph Civic still beats a 13.1 @ 130 Supra with no traction.

The guy kept saying that he was catching up, which was obvious, but catching up too late is a loss.

Josh ran him on the way back (the vette guy claims he misshifted 3rd) but Josh quickshifted the fuck out of his car (as usual) and pulled a COUPLE cars on him right away, and that's before the misshift........ Rudy shifted slow and still got him.

I still have the video, not the greatest quality (shot with my pic camera in video mode, but it was all we had) if anyone wants it.

I would like to see this civic run a 12.9 @ 102mph..... But you are correct about the supra. The Supra is all the driver, and most of the supra owners are too stupid to even know what to do at the track! They all think you hold the clutch and gas to the floor and let your left foot slide off of the clutch to launch with 19" hard tires..... There are a selective few that know whats going on.
I ran 8.0 @ 94mph in the 1/8 when my car was pretty much stock(BPU) which is like a low 12sec pass in a supra... on 18" continentals tires(hard tire)

I also ran 10.9 @125mph in a 520ish'hp Supra with issues(coil packs started fouling up on that run). and was letting in and out of the gas

You also have an automatic with a big stall and a transbrake. Huge difference between that and trying to launch a 6 speed.
Anyway, your opinion doesnt count anymore after your talk of selling your supra to buy a vette. Blasphemy!

lol....I know, but it was a 6psd when I ran the 8.0, so at least gimmie that!

The only reason I was looking into the vette is because I can set the vette out for sale here in my town and if it sells to someone local I could careless... cause I didnt have anytime in it, plus someone would snatch it up pretty quickly here.

Im gonna sell it and prolly end up with a sleeper(some off the wall car) with a 2J in it. I will hit the next Varsity meet so I can see the very few people I like that are on here. I havent been in a while cause it sux most of the time, but its cool to hit it ever so often!

Ive got a 240z for sale...that would be a great car for a 2jz Actually, it has an old-school nissan-version of a 2jz in it already anyway LOL
I looked at Jeremy's z06... It seemed like a really nice car for the money. I think maybe the blue with red interior is hard for some people to take. Im not sure he ever got it fully tuned either. I need to ask him where it went.

Well the stall and the TH take so much away on the dyno, but I dont care as long as it runs good on the track. I dyno'd it at AAP one time and it made 416hp and the next day I ran a 11.1 at the suprashootout...haha, Chris at AAP said if it was a 6spd right now it should be around 850rwhp, but I dont care just as long as it runs good.

I was looking at something like your Z, but Im still browsing for something crazy. We'll see... Have you priced your Z yet?
