Supras dont get off the line for shit and I imagine that a 240 with a 2j would probably be about the same. That being the case a fox that could be a 2j in the quarter might not be able to get the 2j from a roll because the 2j do have turbos and pull strong on the top end once the turbo/turbos are spooled.
not all supras are slow off the line but mine is!!! the reason most are pigs off the line is b/c of a thing called power-to-weight ratio. that's why dave puts 2j's in 240's. simple math, my supra weighs 3550 lbs. dave's car weighs less say roughly a 1000 lbs less w/o telling the exact #. guys who drag know what that means. it's called power off the line b/c it takes less torque to get the weight off the line so the hp can take over down the track!! oh, and the main reason most fox's are able to launch so hard actually has nothing to do with the power they make, it's called suspension. there is no car that i know of that you can find more go fast suspension parts for than a mustang. every manufacturer is making them b/c there are so many mustangs on the road it is more than profitable to do so. i can take my stang, put 500 whp in it and go 12's or i can go mid 10's in it all depending on one thing!! SUSPENISON!! dont believe me, ask the stang guys on here or call jeff down at prospeed and ask him how fast his car went last weekend at steele and how much power he has. no bashing intended at all, just facts and as always my
