FYI she was driving her husbands car(rollin s2k) and his s2000 while still n/a suprised the fuck outta me, it can hang and would have no problem walking a GT.

vouch my life for kelly...thats real talk

a s2k even coming close to a s351 is out of the question.

it was more than likely a non-supercharged s281 if anything- the girl said there was no whining noise-

saleen and cobra body panels on a GT mustang = Ricer!!! (in a domestic sort of way) ha ha. I live with 03 Mach 1, 02 GT, 01 Stage 2 Roush, and 87 5.0 lx.

P.S. Foxbodys never equal rice. Thank goodness they saved the 80's for american cars.

i know i got that from the 198!!!!

    This s351 Saleen has 495hp/490tqr vs. 97-04 Z06 with 405hp/400tqr vs 05-Current with 505hp/470tqr....

Stock for stock the 05 and up with run with this car....but with more torque i am willing to bet that the saleen stays point for point with the vette...pending its a newer model vette!!!

as far as i can remember the s351 comes factory vortec/procharger supercharged with the 351 windsor block. my friend had a 99 s351 and with minor shit like smaller pulley and a good tune, it was a litte over 600rwhp

Stock for stock the c6 z06 weighs 200 lbs less and has less drivetrain loss than the saleen.

s351 was the only saleen worth a damn but it would lose to a c6zo6 stock for stock. They are seriously detuned in stock form. Put an exhaust, small pulley, and other small bolt ons it would run with any zo6. I believe stock is only 6 lbs or so of boost.

You are right on that. They are VERY detuned from the factory. Thats why they had to quit making them because they couldn't get them to pass emmision even with cats. There are VERY few S351 out there so to even see one is amazing and to see one that will race well thats just plain luck

yea, i belive it was just a stock mustang with a saleen kit b/c i did not hear a whine. But it did start shit with me. I was minding my own business driving home from work and it pulled up next to me, revved and pulled forward a little.
then lined back up with me and did it again. i didn't look over b/c i didn't want to acknowledge him/her (dunno what the driver was) then on the 3rd time they revved. i dumped it and took off.
Their front bumper was lined up with my passenger side door b/c i could see hood and headlights. Stayed that way til i let off (didnt wanna go too fast and get pulled over - just what i would need) Then i guess the mustang driver got mad b/c it pulled the ricer fly by and exited the interstate.

Is that a better story for my number 5 poster?

so you really never whooped his ass if he stayed right beside you the whole time.....I am not saying this in a bad way to the S2k, becuase god knows i want one, but whooping its ass woul dbe putting a couple cars on it in a skinny minute not staying right beside it !!!!!

Since that isn't an issue for 96+ cars (OBD-II as required by law for all cars manufactured in late 1995 to the present) I don't think thats why they "detuned" them. Because they are not required to pass the sniffer, only the OBD test, adding a cat would do nothing provided the O2 sensors are in front of them, not to mention as long as you haven't thrown a CEL code from a faulty sensor I believe you will pass automatically. Or atleast I have yet to hear of a car without an engine code failing OBD-II emissions.

PS thats really sad if you just "stayed next to" a GT... back in my pre turbo days I raced a GT with exhaust from 60-100 and it was no contest

Im wondering because the one I ran sounded pretty tough. but not abnoxious like some of the Gt's I have come in contact with.. I didnt know an s2k was as fast though.. meh its okay in stock form they are no match for the skittle van
