Any Tech People On Here Who Actually Know What They Are Talking About??

So I need to see if there is a way on Windows 7 if you cant remember a password to get around it and reset it?

She doesn't have a password back up disk (She didn't install Windows 7, her Ex did) and she cant get into her desktop. Is there a way to reset or get around this without loosing all data? She doesn't have a Windows 7 CD either, her ex installed it so....

Any help is appreciated.

any idea if her password was more than 14 or less than 14 characters, this all helps with me telling you which program will help bypass her password and remove it

Should be under 14 characters as far as I would think, Thank you though for any help. I just don't want her to loose all her files, and her ex did not create a password restore disk, so I just want to try and help her as much as I can.

there is an old hacking program i used to use when i had plans to conquer the world but those plans went under just like the economy lol but anyways google "OPHCRACK" and its going to be a ISO where you need to burn it onto a blank disc and just put it into the laptop and boot the laptop, it will be a live-CD so as soon as you turn on the computer and your CD drive is read, it will run and all you need to do is initialize the cracking process and in about 10-15 mins or maybe more depending on variables and length and algorithms, she should be able to log back in easily and it will show her password.

i might still have my old one laying around if youd like it if the process sounds scary lol

That may be better!! LOL So oon that site it says to just download the program and use it to boot the computer and it will take it from there, so Ill try that tonight, thank you so much!!

Dude, That website rocked, Once I downloaded the file, It instructed me to put a blank CD and it burned it automatically, Then I put it in her PC and booted it up and it took it from there and one click and BAM!! PC was unlocked, Thanks so much bro!!

Haha, glad that we could help with unlocking her PC, now dont go and try and breaking into banks computers and using it for bad things because the Martin Lawrence told me that was a no no

Future reference would be password unlocker or if you know how to access it through DOS, then do that instead. IF you own a Mac, there is a much more easier way to do it through the terminal.
