ok i found this link. To get to that screen, press Delete or F2(i forget but i know what to do when i do it, lol). Sometimes it's F8 key.
You press that key just as you touch the power on button from a cold start. Follow the instructions and browse around in there. Once you set it, F10 to save and it should reboot. Try not to mess with other settings if you not quite sure what it does. Give it a try, lol.

yea i tried to boot from CD...thats when it gave me the error "These system recovery CDs do NOT support this HP PC model"...when ive used this recovery CD in the past to do a system recovery...I think installing the service pack 3 fucked everything up cuz i read on other forums that thats what happened to other people as well...Originally Posted by civicturbo10
You are getting that message because the HP CD's you have don't match the tattoo number on the motherboard. Its an HP thing.
