Tracy is right, my boss bought a Mac for the same reason. He did not want virus problems and hasn't had any since he's bought it. At the time he was looking, i mentioned it had dual boot capability, which was apple's OS X operatiing system. He liked the idea of having windows b/c our work pcs allowed remote login but you needed a windows environment. PLus he had MS Office. Since he wasn't super tech savy, this helped seal the deal for him and he hasn't looked back. Initially he couldn't get the dual boot to work and then finally it worked.
the reason he couldn't dual boot with OSX and xp/vista is because when you try to dual with windows on mac,the linux.lni is on the boot sector and wont allow anything else to get on there.eventually you can do it,but,you will never be able to boot with windows only because the linux.lni will always be there.you would have to do a new install with windows once the HD is wiped clean.
