Overclocking question
Ok so I found a Q6600 laying around at work and decided to pick it up and do a little build with it. I got it on a EVGA 750i SLI FTW board with 8GB of OCZ gold RAM (just some older junk I had laying around). Well I got it up to 3.6 and love it. The only thing is that its multiplier keeps jumping from 6 to 9 which goes from 2.4 to 3.6. I know this is to save power and stuff, but my question is this...
is it bad for a multiplier to jump like this? i mean will this hurt anything jumping back and forth often?
