    Default CD-RW Vista problem

    Trying to use a CD-RW disk on vista 64 bit using itunes and no matter which way i try to burn anything on it it says its write protected and the disks are brand new. Help?

    so if you use, itunes, media player, windows, nero, etc you get write protected on your burner?

    i would uninstall your burner and reinstall it to see if it picks it up - maybe windows thinks its just a cd rom not a burner.

    could be your trying to burn music thats copywrited, and itunes wont let you do it.

    try using another program to write the disc.

    If you are trying to burn MP3 into WMA format for an old school cp player to read, then downloading or buying Nero 8 isnt a bad idea, or a similar program.
