    Default Need more RAM!

    I currently have 448 MB of RAM on my computer but I need 512 MB. Is there any way to get more RAM other then buying it?

    memory is super cheap and are you sure you don't have 512mb? 448mb is a random number; your video is probably using 64mb of shared memory. if that is the case you can normally change your shared memory in bios. just drop it down to like 2mb.

    check that out...it can scan your system and will point you in the right direction for the type of RAM you need

    RAM came in 64MB, 128, 256, 512, 1GB, 2GB, etc. If you have a number like that more than likely it does have 512MB of RAM but it can be allocated to other resources. I'd check and see how much RAM you have in your machine and also how much it can hold. Nowadays, 512MB of RAM is nothing.
